Bupleurum Herbal Remedies
Bupleurum is one of the most widely used Chinese herbs, especially for women with symptoms of PMS and menstrual imbalances, such as irritability, excessive mood swings, and headaches. It restores normal liver function, especially in hepatitis patients, for which it is often prescribed either alone or in combination with other herbs. It is used in formulas to help relieve painful digestion and early cirrhosis and to remove heat from the liver. Bupleurum (Chai hu) has a taste of BITTER, ACRID and a temperature of COOL.
