Gotu Kola Herbal Remedies

Gotu kola is an ancient Ayurvedic herb which has traditionally been used to improve memory and mental vigor, support mental functions and the nervous system, and act as an adaptogen. Externally, extracts of the herb are added to preparations to speed the healing of burns, wounds, and eczema and other skin conditions. It also has some application in traditional Ayurvedic medicine for hypothyroidism. This herb should be used fresh as the dried herb rapidly loses its potency. Gotu Kola has a taste of BITTER, SWEET, ACRID and a temperature of COOL.
