Herbal Remedies for Gallstones

Gallstones are made of bile pigments and calcium salts. They can form in the biliary tract, ducts that carry bile from the liver to the gallbladder and from the gallbladder to the small intestine.

Use herbs to help relax the gallbladder, plus a combination of bile-stimulant or moving herbs. Acidic foods to dissolve the stones include lemon juice, apple cider vinegar, unripe apples, and blackberries. A supportive diet should be low in fats and high in fiber and organic fruit acids. Avoid spicy foods and gallbladder irritants (alcohol, sugar, coffee, tea).
