Herbal Remedies for Goiter
The thyroid gland, and important metabolic regulator in the body, is sensitive to levels of iodine and other compounds often found in food. Too much of these chemicals or too little, coupled with a susceptibility can lead to thyroid growths, nodules and general enlargement. This may or may not affect the body's metabolism or functions in any way, but if the thyroid becomes large enough, it may be unsightly.
Use herbs to soften tumors or lumps, and thyroid-regulating herbs. Avoid cabbage, cole crops in general, and taking too little or too much iodine.
