Leukorrhea or "the whites," is the occurrence of a white discharge from the vagina, mostly as a result of a microflora imbalance with a predominance of pathogenic organisms such as Candida albicans or Pseudomonas spp. Although often also called a yeast infection, leukorrhea is not always due to this ubiquitous organism.
