Homeopathy - Energy Medicine
When Cynthia was nine months pregnant, she was diagnosed with a strep B infection. Her midwife and OBGYN recommended antibiotics. Cynthia was concerned that the drug may cause adverse effects and would actually lower the baby’s immunity, as well as cause other harm. Her obstetrician assured her that neither would be the case. However, when she researched the issue, she found a pregnancy warning in the product literature. A friend suggested homeopathy. The homeopath prescribed a drug homeopathically prepared from streptococcus haemophilus B (Group B Strep or GBS). She took it as suggested and her white blood cell count and antibody count returned to normal. Two weeks later she gave birth to a healthy child.
Greg never takes medication of any kind. He dislikes how they make him feel. “I feel like I am high on something when I take a pain killer.” In a way, he isn’t too far from the truth. His painkiller was a derivative of opium, a narcotic. After he injured himself in a skiing accident, he decided to see a homeopath. He had quite a bruise on his tailbone, a sprained knee, and had pulled a tendon in his thigh. He was in excruciating pain every time he moved his leg. The remedies prescribed were Arnica montana, Hypericum perfoliatum, Bryonia alba and Ruta graveolens- taken in alternation every 2 hours. His pain was relieved in a few hours and he recovered within a week - enough to be able to go back to the slopes. It was the quickest he had ever recovered from a similar injury, and he never got that awful drowsy feeling.
Homeopathy helps the body heal itself. It does so indirectly by sending a signal that tells the body to start the healing process. Homeopathic drugs heal with energy, working very much like a cell phone. Remedies send electromagnetic signals that are translated into biological signals in the living tissue. Homeopathic drugs are made from medicinal substances. During the processing of the drug, the medicinal substance is diluted out while the energetic imprint of the substance is retained. Remedies above a 12C potency contain none of the original chemical, but only the subtle nuclear–magnetic frequency of the drug. These remedies have no chemical interaction of a drug with the molecules, cells or tissues of the body. This is why when taking a homeopathic remedy you probably notice very little. The only noticeable effect is a gradual, or sometimes sudden, disappearance of your symptoms: the pain eases, the discomfort subsides.
This is why homeopathic treatment is safe during pregnancy. While many standard drugs can harm the fetus because they are toxic or cause DNA changes, this is not the case with homeopathic drugs since there are no toxic ingredients. Their only active “ingredient” is a subtle energetic signal. The homeopathic drug’s action results in a gentle, almost unnoticeable alleviation. In the case of the diagnosed strep B infection, the remedy used was manufactured from a sterile strep culture. The energetic signature of the strep B bacteria, which itself was diluted out from the remedy, triggered the immune response needed to overcome the streptococcal infection.
Manufacturing of Homeopathic Drugs
Homeopathic drugs are manufactured in a laboratory under controlled conditions. The process includes diluting the medicinal substance in a water-alcohol mixture, shaking the mixture (succussion), and then diluting again. The degree of dilution, number of succussions, and number of repetition of these steps are measured and recorded. During the dilution phase, the material substance is reduced. During the succussion phase, the substance bonds with the water-alcohol, while mechanical energy is added to the solvent. The constant sequential mixing process reorganizes and alters the bonding structure of the water mixture. It transfers energetic information specific to each drug to the water-alcohol molecule. This energetic information remains after the drug substance has been diluted out.
Experiments show that with increasing succussion, the effect or force of the homeopathic drug increases. This process of succussion is called potentization, referring to the relative force of the drug in evoking a healing response: the more succussed the drug, the stronger its effect. The degree of strength of a drug is called the “potency” of the drug.
The designation listed on a homeopathic remedy gives precise information how the drug has been prepared. For example, Arnica montana 30C means the drug was prepared from the plant Arnica montana (the latin name for the commonly called Leopard’s bane or Mountain daisy). The number 30 on the vial refers to the number of times the drug went through the steps of dilution and succussion. “C” means “centesimal”, that is the degree of dilution (1/100), and the number of succussion per step – 100. This information is crucial for the selection of the proper potency.
While the FDA regulates the marketing of homeopathic drugs, because of their extraordinary safety record many homeopathic remedies are sold over the counter. However, proper selection of a homeopathic remedy requires considerable skill; therefore, it is always best to consult with a homeopath for the proper remedy, even in self-limiting conditions.
Homeopathic remedies are a safe choice for everyone, including for newborns and for treating the elderly or weak. A well-chosen remedy can be just what the doctor ordered, removing the disorder and restoring health to the organism.
