AOM Day Events: 25th Anniversary for the American Associate of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine
AOM Day is fast approaching on October 24th and traditional Chinese medical practices across the country are planning events surrounding the day in order to appropriately celebrate.
The American Association of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (AAAOM) is bringing in AOM Day with a bash, though a few days early. To celebrate their 25th anniversary, they will use this opportunity to bring information to the general public on Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.
Their 25th anniversary celebration will include four workshops on Sunday, October 21, 2007.
The two morning workshops that will last two-hours each and will cover, “What is acupuncture and Oriental Medicine?” and “The Use of Complimentary and Alternative Medicine by Older Adults.”
Afternoon workshop topics will include “Oriental Medicine & Healthy Aging - Natural Facial Renewal” and “Breast Cancer and Oriental Medicine - The Power of Integration.”
All workshops will be conducted by certified leaders in the field, including Mary Elizabeth Wakefield, LAc, MS, MM. Author, musician and teacher, Wakefield was recognized in 2005 as AAAOM’s Educator of the Year and has worked for such notable media companies as Fox News, ABC-TV, and Discovery Channel. She even designed a trademarked Diamond Acupuncture Facial for the Oscars.
