Alternative Detox

Lindsay Lohan and Britney Spears can travel to Canada now if they indeed want to "dry out."
Starting August 1, 2007,
Agora Regeneration Clinics Ltd., an alternative health clinic based in Vancouver, BC, will offer an innovative treatment for drug and alcohol dependency,
Neuroreceptor Repair and Regeneration (NRR) Protocol.
The Clinic, developed by Vancouver-based Maggie Gold, was one way of dealing with the drug-related death of her son. But Gold's extensive knowledge of naturopathy, alternative medicine and practices and complementary medicine led her to initiate a revolutionary program for detoxification that includes, among other wonderfully soothing things, infrared sauna and massage therapy.
NRR is, says Gold, in its simplest terms, a 10-day program using a combination of "brain" nutrients (including vitamins, minerals and amino acids) to push dopamine out, and let normal brain function back in.
The program has a 70% success rate, according to the article on Topix, and eliminates all cravings and rewires the brain to improve short-term memory.
Wow. Can chocoholics go, too?
