Alternative Medicine Treatment for Allergies

In the
United States alone, more than 50 million of us suffer from some sort of debilitating
allergy. This health condition ranks in sixth place of chronic diseases, the
American Academy of Allergy Asthma and Immunology reports.
Complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) can aid allergy sufferers with a method called sanfujui. This holistic healing treatment uses Chinese herbs applied in a paste form to the Fengmen and Feishu acupoints during the three hottest days of the year. The timing relates to the increased amount of yang qi during that time, which also increases the strength and effectiveness of the qi of the lungs.
This paste is a recipe made up of bai jie zi (Semen sinapis albae), gan sui (Radix kansui), yan hu suo (Rhizoma cordalis) and xi xin (Herba asari), all in dried forms, and then add fresh ginger.
Asthma, eczema, nasal congestion, runny noses, coughing, and itchy eyes, were among the most common allergic reactions that were reported. Treating allergies costs the American health care system more than $18 billion dollars each year.
