Ayurvedic Health Conference in New Mexico

The National Ayurvedic Medical Association (NAMA) will play host to the upcoming health event, Healthy Living and Professional Education: Ayurveda in Practice.

This is NAMA’s 5th annual conference and will take place right before AOM Day, on October 18-21 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

The Ayurveda in Practice conference will feature three main tracts of interest: personal practices, professional education and related fields of holistic modalities including yoga and jyotisha. Presenters will include industry experts who are Ayurvedic physicians, medical doctors and professional educators.

This promises to be an exciting holistic health event with such featured guests as the Yoga Alliance, the American Council of Vedic Astrology and the International Association of Yoga Therapists.

Special presentations include yoga instructors demonstrating and explaining therapeutic yoga systems to Ayurvedic practitioners in “The Integration of Ayurveda and Yoga.” Other workshop topics include “Ayurvedic Understandings of Chronic Diseases,” “Ayurvedic Contributions to Integrative Medicine” and Saturday’s session with Dr. John Douillard, "Raising Kids on Ayurveda."
