Chiropractic Care Benefits Beyond Spinal Manipulation

A 2007 study on the effectiveness of chiropractic care in patients with nonmusculoskeletal conditions revealed its benefits extend beyond the spine.
The study, reported in the
The Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine, tested chiropractic care on 50 different nonmusculoskeletal conditions.
The results were that chiropractic was beneficial for adult and pediatric patients with asthma, cervicogenic vertigo, infantile colic, pneumonia, and more. Chiropractic care used as complementary medicine resulted in little or no adverse reactions. And, of those adverse reactions reported, none were serious.
The conclusion was that chiropractic care can be fully integrated to treat the conditions tested with better overall results for the patient.
