Chiropractic Care "Bible"in its Second Draft

The Council on Chiropractic Guidelines and Practice Parameters (CCGPP) has released a second draft on its much-anticipated Chiropractic Clinical Compass. According to the CCGPP, once it's completed, the Compass will act as as a complete encyclopedia to all the available literature on chiropractic care in the world.

This "literature synthesis" as chiropractors call it, is an academic analysis, a synthesis and a guide for chiropractic organizations, associations, colleges, providers, patients, and students, reviewed by them and approved by them, as a full collaborative effort of the chiropractic community.

Featured selections for the tome will include Low Back and Related Lower Extremity Conditions, Wellness, Non-musculoskeletal and Special Populations, Upper Extremity Conditions, Cervical Spine, Soft Tissue, and Thoracic Spine.

The Compass differs also in that it will include "patient values," allowing each practitioner the ability to take each patient's symptoms, consider each clinical situation and select the ideal method of care for each patient. From there, the CCGPP thinks other complementary modalities will follow.
