Diet Plates Help Diabetics

For sufferers of Type 2 diabetes, or those who are clinically obese,
Diet Plate Limited of England may help you control your weight, says the
LA Times.
The first-ever "clinical portion control plates" are now on the market to help your table and waistline look great. These diet plates are specially designed to hold up to an 800-calorie meal, with painted lines to carve out sections for grains, dairy, protein, fruit and vegetables, and mixed-use food items such as lasagne.
Users are encouraged to choose the desired caloric intake lines, and try to fit the food into the section that most closely resembles the food item they are serving themselves. They are also told not to cover items with butter, oil or sugar.
Bowls are also lined with different rings at different heights depending on the type of cereal you choose.
By the end of a study conducted by Canadian University of Calgary, those plate users with Type 2 diabetes were prescribed lower doses of hyperglycemia medication and needed decreased doses of insulin.
These plates will encourage you to cook for the entire family in a much healthier fashion.
