Florida State Oriental Medical Association Fall Conference
AltMD reported earlier this month on NCCAOM’s move of their national headquarters from the D.C. area to Jacksonville, Florida.
To celebrate the move as well as the 25th anniversary of the
National Certification Commision for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM), the Florida State Oriental Medical Association will feature the national CEO of NCCAOM, Dr. Kory Ward-Cook, as its keynote speaker at the fall conference in Orlando.
Dr. Ward-Cook will share the trials, tribulations, and triumphs of her career and the organization as she addresses attendees with her lecture, “Realizing the Vision.” Dr. Ward-Cook’s leadership of NCCAOM has facilitated an increase in media and public awareness of
Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine by 86 percent.
Topics for other lectures at the conference include “Use of Clinical Thermography in Acupuncture Practice,” “Acupoint Injection Therapy,” “Hospital Based Integrative Oriental Medicine,” and “Effectively Using Your NCCAOM Board Certification.”
Other enticing reasons to attend include the chance to earn up to 19 CEU in topics such as medical errors, safety, laws and rules, and imaging.
Some of the exhibitors who have confirmed their attendance include Five Flavors, Blue Poppy, Golden Flower Chinese Herbs.
The
Florida State Oriental Medical Association fall conference takes place in Orlando’s Caribe Royale All Suites Resort on September 7th -9th.
