Ginger Treatments for Osteoarthritis Symptoms

Are your joints achy and swollen? Does it get worse with exercise and weight-bearing activities, or during rainy weather?

You may have to start eating more ginger and avocado.

These are the symptoms of osteoarthritis which causes cartilage in the joints between the bones to erode and bone spurs to grow around the joints.

HealthDay News reported that paying attention to these symptoms early on and using methods to treat them can improve the chances of avoiding osteoarthritis.

A great and effective treatment for osteoarthritis is ginger obtained from the root of the ginger flower, used in herb-centered Ayurvedic medicine.

In fact, in recent studies to test the effectivenes of ginger versus ibuprofen, ginger showed no side effects.

Even more effective was the combination of avocado and soybean "unsaponifiables" (components of an oil, fat, wax commonly used in vitamins) in a daily dosage of 300-mg.

And you can also add this recipe for Avocado and Ginger Pasta to your diet.

Ingredients

2 large or 3 (three) smaller avocado chopped
1 lemon juiced
6 tablespoons almond flakes
2 teaspoon finely chopped ginger almost to a mince
1/3 cup + Tablespoon Extra Virgin Olive Oil
500 g Tagliatelle Pasta
1/2 cup coriander leaves
Sea salt flakes and freshly ground black pepper

Bring a large saucepan of water to the boil. Pasta can be cooked before hand and then warmed up in the microwave.
Preheat the oven to 180C to roast the almonds. This won’t take long so keep an eye on them. Remove from oven when ready. About 5 minutes or until golden brown.

In a bowl place the avocado chopped with a squeeze of the lemon juice over the cut avocado.

In a large bowl place the warmed pasta with the oil and minced ginger, toss. Add some salt and 3/4 of the roasted almonds, toss. Then add the coriander and then the rest of the roasted almonds and toss. Add the avocado last, serve with some freshly ground black pepper and salt to taste, and some lemon juice then add the shaved parmigiano. Serve.
