Herbal Medicine Goes Mainstream
Late last year the pharmaceutical giant, Merck, announced plans to collaborate with Chi-Med, a Chinese pharmaceutical company, to research and create possible new prescription drugs that would help treat deadly forms of cancer. The collaborative effort would develop these new Rx’s based on traditional Chinese herbs and other components of botanical medicines.
