Hispanic Senior Health from the National Institute of Aging

With the Hispanic, senior population in America estimated to increase to 11 percent by the year 2030, the National Institute of Aging is making it their business to reach out to America’s growing, ethnically diverse population.

The latest effort includes their online Spanish site, www.nia.nih.gov/Espanol. This Spanish health website for seniors includes current and accurate information on such topics as cancer, Alzheimer’s disease, diabetes and maintaining overall health and wellness.

Free publications available through the site include La enfermedad de Alzheimer: Desentrañando el misterio, El ejercicio y su salud, Accidente cerebrovascular, Conversando con su médico and Cuidado a largo plazo. The Spanish NIA site will also include links to the Spanish versions of Medicare and MedlinePlus.

This site, sponsored by the National Institutes of Health is already up-and-running, so check it out today.
