Monk in Miami Speaks on Meditation's Healing Powers

Our latest altMD video takes us back to Dr. Zyad's esteemed Ayurvedic practice, Healing Way. Dr. Zyad hosted Swami Devakrsnanda, an authentic tantric monk from India, on his most recent visit to Miami.

The holy Swami was here consulting with Dr. Zyad on the implementation of their South Florida Ayurvedic school, scheduled to open in January. He spoke with our altMD correspondent about such topics as obesity in North America and how it relates to one of the seven deadly sins; greed. He also expounds on the healing powers of meditation.
