Nuritional Italian Diet Brings Your Sexuality Back to Life

Its hard to resist Mediterranean-style food. And here's one more reason to quit trying, according to Chinese Medicine News. We already know this diet is good for your heart.

A recent study conducted by the University of Naples, Italy found that a high-fruit, low-red-meat, Mediterranean-style diet can also improve sexual function in women with metabolic syndrome, an alternative to drugs.

Metabolic syndrome is the precursor to diabetes. It reveals itself as high blood pressure, high triglycerides, central body obesity, low HDL cholesterol, and insulin resistance. It can alter your sexual functions, desires and responses drastically.

More than 50 women with metabolic syndrome were part of the study. Half were fed a diet loaded with fruits and vegetables, nuts, grains, olive oil (as opposed to butter) and grilled or steamed chicken or seafood (as opposed to red meat) each day. They were also treated to a glass or two of red wine, daily.

After two years, the group that went on the Mediterranean-style diet reduced their symptoms, and improved their health. As a result, sexual functions, including desire, arousal, lubrication, orgasm, and satisfaction were restored.
