Proper Nutrition and Prostate Cancer: More Reasons to Eat Your Veggies!

There is an endless list of benefits of maintaining your
health and wellness through proper nutrition. A new study published in the September issue of
Nutrition Review offers one more.
Men diagnosed with
prostate cancer can increase their survival rates by consuming high-fiber, vegetarian meals. Diets high in fat, consisting mainly of diary and meat products, are now thought to raise estradiol (a circulating testosterone) as well as insulin. This increase adds fuel to the fire when it comes to tumor growth rates.
In comparing men with prostate cancer, the research showed that those with diets high in saturated fat were three times more to die from the disease than those with the lowest intakes of the deadly fats.
Miracle foods that can slow down the growth of malignant tumors include the obvious choices of fruits, veggies, nuts, beans.
