To Merge or Not to Merge: Chiropractors All

Two individual fronts in political arenas that weakened two giant chiropractic organizations, politically and caused them to join forces, may now be the reason to stay apart, legally, says an article in Chiro Web.

A “merger” between the American Chiropractic Association (ACA) and the International Chiropractors Association (ICA) was approved by Congress of Chiropractic State Associations, but the two organizations decided to call it quits.

It seems months of posing a united front left the unique issues that each of the organizations served, unattended.

Now there is only a list of joint initiatives, but no merger.

The article also stated that some believe the "chiropractic profession is hamstrung politically by having more than one organization representing the profession."
