Traditional Chinese Medicine: First Step for Cancer Prevention

An article in NewsTarget today expounded the virtue of preventative liver health, as opposed to chemotherapy for people who may be at risk of contracting cancer. or for those who simply want to stay healthy.

News Target columnist, Mike Adams the Health Ranger says conventional cancer treatments actually harm the patient, making it even more difficult to beat cancer later. Chemotherapy harms the immune system and weakens and impairs the brain, liver and heart. He likens it to “using TNT to blow out the water leaking through the dam.”

If preventative health is the place to start to protect your body, then elimination of toxins lodged in the liver, heart and digestive tract is the first step (i.e. cleansing).

Adams decides to tackle liver cleansing first and says the best modality for liver cleansing is Traditional Chinese Medicine.

There are several methods to cleanse your liver, such as balancing you liver Qi, or simple home rememdies such as this one provided by Sandra Kim Leong, EzineArticles.com Expert Author, that involves using olive oil, Epsom salts, fresh grape juice, and a grape fruit, during a two-day detox ritual.

But, says, Leong, first-time liver cleansers must do it under the guidance of a TCM practitioner.

Never cleanse in the winter. Liver cleansing is best done in the spring.
