Yoga Makes a Body Beautiful

Yoga, once considered a practice for counterculture-hippie types, has become increasingly popular with today’s general population as an important component for
natural health.
The holistic healing benefits of yoga include decreased blood pressure, an increase in cardiovascular functions, and enhanced strength, balance, flexibility, endurance and energy.
In addition to the inner benefits of yoga as part of your comprehensive wellness program, it also offers aesthetic benefits to feed the ego of the vain.
Yoga poses that can enhance the looks of those legs include Downward-Facing Dog, Tree Pose and Warrior Poses.
The mechanics of the yoga Tree Pose involves balancing on the right leg while lifting the left knee into the chest. Next, open the left knee towards the side with the bottom of the foot positioned on the inner part of the right thigh. With the palms of your hands together, inhale and lift your arms upwards. Balance as you hold this yoga pose for five slow, full breaths and then repeat with the other leg.

yoga poses of Downward-Facing Dog and Warrior Pose, check the online publication, Yoga Journal.
