Ladies who enjoy their latte from Starbucks in the morning could be getting more calcium than those who use calcium supplements, a recent study showed.
Researchers at Washington University School of Medicine found dietary calcium may be better for overall bone health. A unique and powerful connection between the amount of estrogen calcium produced via dietary calcium intake coupled with the fact that estrogen helps maintain bone density is the key.
The required daily amount of calcium to maintain bone health and prevent osteoporosis, the article showed, is about 1000 mg, and a list of foods which contain calcium can be found
