qi gong information

Qi Gong is an ancient form of Chinese exercise developed to enhance our health and awareness.  Qi Gong, which can be literally translated as energy work, incorporates postures, exercises, breathing techniques, and meditation to strengthen and circulate our body’s Qi, or life energy.  Based upon the theories of Chinese Medicine, Qi Gong exercises open the same meridian system used by acupuncturists for treatment of disease.  Developed over last 3000 to 5000 years, there are now thousands of different styles of Qi Gong movements.  Most of these styles follow the same fundamental principles: rooted balance, correct posture, deep breathing, and a relaxed mind and body.  Medical Qi Gong is where a Qi Gong master utilizes their own internal healing ability to correct the flow of energy in the patient’s body.  Whether you develop your own practice or receive Medical Qi Gong massage treatments, Qi Gong has been shown to improve your cardiovascular, immune, and muscles-skeletal systems and decrease your stress.
