According to a recent article in the New York Times, Doctors say that misdiagnosed food allergies are on the rise related to blood testing. Families may mistakenly avoid certain foods and purchase costly non-allergenic supplements.
Simple blood tests can identify potentially risky foods but do not have the reliability of medically supervised food challenge testing. Blood tests can test positive for different foods which have similar proteins and not distinguish the true allergens.
Food sensitivities and allergies can have many symptoms, including: headaches, fatigue, muscle aches, skin problems and even sleep disturbances.
Ask your chiropractor about allergy testing and how your symptoms may be tied to misdiagnosed food allergies. Call Aagesen Chiropractic Clinic at 612-920-1092 and start on the road to better health today.
