Health and high vibrational living occur when we are clear conduits for the loving energy of Creation. As we proceed through life we often experience stresses and traumas that lead us to react in ways that disrupt the flow of this natural life energy. In order to regain our health and happiness it is essential to clear away the distortions that have developed in our energy system. Connecting to divine love and universal truth are powerful tools to assist, so spiritual guidance and spiritual healing are valuable resources. It is well known that unconscious mind greatly influences the body - our thoughts and feelings can either make us healthy and vibrant or ill and diseased.

Energy healing practices such as reiki, healing touch, pranic healing, quantum touch, and other methods of working with spiritual energy can help clear the tension and stress that accumulate in your energy field. Once your energy flow opens up you can recover or heal much more quickly and easily from many conditions. Pain, anxiety, stress, depression, and other issues can be effectively addressed on an energetic level. Even conditions like cardiovascular disease and cancer are often reversed with the aid of spiritual and energetic treatment.

If you wish to feel your best it is recommended that you consider balancing your energy flow with the aid of energy healing and spiritual support.

Mark Hyman, M.D. presents a holistic, in-depth guide to wellness in his latest book The Blood Sugar Solution: The UltraHealthy Program for Losing Weight, Preventing Disease, and Feeling Great Now! The book cover features a promotional quote from former President Bill Clinton "I hope Dr. Hyman's new book will inspire you as he has inspired me," next to an image of dark leafy greens. Clinton has been using a plant-based diet to help reverse his cardiovascular problems and has successfully lost weight using this healthy diet and lifestyle approach. Hyman is an acclaimed complementary medicine physician who was a featured presenter in 2011 at The University of Miami's Integrative Medicine Symposium. Hyman's book is a thorough guide for anyone seeking to improve their health and avoid "diabesity" and other common health problems associated with poor diet and lifestyle habits. Hyman uses the term diabesity to refer to the related factors associated with both obesity and diabetes, which are national epidemics in the USA, where by 2020 it is estimated that around 50% of Americans will exhibit these conditions.

At the foundation of long-established healing traditions such as Chinese Medicine and Ayurveda is the idea that Mind, Body, and Spirit are layers or levels of an integrated energy system. These systems see spiritual energy as the power source that fuels and governs the functioning of the body. This field of power is often called that aura or biofield. Kirlian photography has shown that when you cut off part of a body the energy field around that area continues to exist - and in some circumstances the information contained in the energy field will be used to regrow or regenerate the missing parts.

Vedic traditions refer to chakras "wheels of light," which are energy centers or vortices that act like transformers, guiding the flow of spiritual energy into the physical organism. Shamanic healing traditions around the world identify these energy centers and focus a great deal on clearing unhealthy patterns and distortions in these energy centers. Once the energy comes through to the physical level it must be distributed through energy circuits. Chinese medicine calls the primary circuits meridians. These circuits connect all the organs and glands of the body to the whole body.

Energy carries information - memories and programs for how the body will function and respond to its internal and external environment. Thus, any disruption to the normal flow of energy through a vortex or circuit will likely trigger a disruption in the optimal functioning of a related part of the body. A major cause of these energy disruptions is distorted beliefs and trapped emotions. Dr. Bradley Nelson, creator of The Emotion Code and Body Code healing system speaks in detail about trapped emotions and how they can be released. Thus, the mind and emotions are a key aspect of these systems of holistic medicine. Healing an organ or body system may necessitate addressing psychospiritual issues that underlie the problem.

Working with energy healing can include addressing psychological patterns that are connected to the energy patterns as well as examining diet, lifestyle, and environmental factors that are affecting the energy system. This holistic approach can help us resolve health issues and imbalances at their source.

This concise book presents what is referred to as "Chinese Shamanic Cosmic Orbit Qigong." The book begins with a rather brief introduction to Qigong and Chinese spiritual/cosmological traditions. It then begins to focus on the qigong practices that it describes as "Wu," meaning Chinese Shamanic, Cosmic Orbit Qigong. This style is traced to Emei Zhengong aka Mt. Emei Sage Style Qigong. Master Wu says that this style combines the traditions of Wu (shamanism) with Confucianism, Daoism, Chinese Medicine, and the martial arts. He cites Chinese shamanism as the source of all the classical Chinese traditions. This ancient, esoteric lineage of practices includes mantras, mudras, visualizations, connection to the "Qi field" of the lineage, and combinations of breath, movement, stillness, and qi energy exercises found throughout Qigong traditions. Master Wu gives a brief history of his own teaching of these practices, mentioning that the present book is an expansion of a booklet he created for his students in 2003. Even the present book seems like a booklet since it is short and focuses mainly on outlining the practices used in this style of Qigong.

There are 12 practices, each with a specific description of its purpose (Master Wu shows the Chinese character names of important words and phrases throughout the book and also has a full page calligraphy style drawing for each of the 12 practices as well as an appendix which quickly summarizes these). Wu explains the Chinese medicine and cosmology principles that are present in these practices, so you will learn about the 5 elements/phases, the meridians, connecting with Heaven and Earth,
accessing yin and yang energies, and more.

I found this book to be valuable and easy to use as a practice guide. As an energy healer who uses Reiki and other qi-based healing methods I was pretty familiar with the subjects included in this book [in fact this book reminded me of theories that Mikao Usui may have borrowed from Chinese medicine teachings in developing the Reiki teachings), though for someone new to this subject I felt that it could have provided a more full explanation of some of the basics. Also, more discussion of spiritual development associated with these practices could have been offered, as this system is part of shamanic traditions for spiritual development and mastery. These are powerful practices that will produce tangible effects for anyone who commits to them, so I'd like to see Master Wu expand on this book and share more about the mystical tradition that has brought us these practices.

For anyone interested in Chinese Medicine, Qigong, or similar methods of healing and personal empowerment this book would be valuable, though I feel that it would be best to have read more general background material on Qigong before proceeding with this book.

As an explorer of consciousness, metaphysics, and health issues, I've had a keen interest in understanding how consciousness creates our experiential reality. Since everything that exists physically is really a product of information fields it's important to consider how those fields are generated and transformed. Metaphysical healing systems and correlative mind-body maps are increasingly recognized in the field of energy medicine.

MetaMedicine/Biodecoding/German New Medicine are one type of system that examines how psychological stresses and conflicts create illness. Michael Lincoln's Message From The Body and his other reference books explore the meaning of every conceivable condition and body part. Louise Hay is perhaps the most popular author on this subject of mind-body correlation. We are beings that create through multiple layers of energy. This process occurs from the spiritual realms down through the electromagnetic spectrum and physical form. Imagination is the light-source of creation, and what is conceived creates an energetic information field that will ripple through to denser layers of reality where it will create an effect on the holographic physical world projection. Emotion is a vital aspect of this process since emotions are energy waves that empower the manifestation of mental creations. We all know that distressing emotions promote disease, since they provide information to the body chemical regulation system to release chemicals that are designed to help the body respond to what perceived reality exists in the mind to generate the emotion. If you are feeling threatened you may have a lot of adrenaline released since the body's historical program is fight or flight when danger is present. If the body continues to react in this way without getting to rest and rebalance then you will eventually become ill since those chemicals are toxic and you will run out of energy and resources to process them.

In past-life regressions it is often discovered that a current illness is rooted in another life experience that the mind is attached to in a distressing way. The soul is seeking resolution of something unconsciously through the body. The body can be seen as a map and projection tool for the Soul and subconscious mind. In energy healing techniques and shamanic healing systems it is seen how the human energy field/biofield contains the memories and information of a person's beliefs, emotions, and perceptions of their experiences from multiple lifetimes. Even images of the "future" can be perceived since the future exists in the informational matrix connected to the person just as the past does - the perception of linear time is a lower density construct that doesn't apply on a higher spiritual level. This is why spiritual healing can produce instantaneous results.

Our chakras and meridians are parts of the energy flow regulation system that reflects our human experience. Each chakra carries information pertaining to specific areas of our consciousness and responses to life. Root chakra issues pertain to our basic survival needs while crown chakra issues are about our higher consciousness and our connection to spiritual realms and our Higher Self. The meridians are the circuits that carry energy through our body and connect the major organs energetically to our head and limbs/extremities. These energy vortices (chakras) and circuits (meridians) are bringing information processing into our physical reality interface. Just as a computer uses energy for the CPU and memory chips to function so does the human organism. When there is an energy drain the system crashes, as it can't handle the normal amount of processing that is required to function in the Earth environment. This could be reflected as an example in immune suppression, where the system fails to respond to the pathogenic microbes that would usually cause no harm when a person is energized and healthy. In a computer it would mean more sophisticated multimedia programs can't function with a weaker CPU (e.g., 500 mhz rather than 3 ghz).

We can recognize that the Source of energy is spiritual. Without a spirit a body breaks down to dust, showing the principle of entropy. We do absorb energy from external sources while incarnate; from food, air, sunlight, healers, etc., which are themselves extensions of spiritual energy from a higher source. We can also consider the principle of resonance - any vibrational energy wave that we have in our environment is something we can be in resonance with. Your cell phone goes into resonance with the frequency from the cell tower and receives information which is decoded as the sound of someone speaking. Nature produces the information that supports life; in plants, water, light, and sound. If you are exposed to things that carry corrupted, distorted information then you may become ill if you accept that distorted data. Modern foods with GMO, artifical chemicals, etc., often foster illness because they provide disruptive information. Vaccines also function in this way. Water molecules are affected by their environment, even by the thoughts of humans as demonstrated by Dr. Emoto's research. The human body is close to 80% water and responds to many influences. To heal we need to learn to offer healthy, harmonious vibrational input and information on multiple levels: foods and nutrients, sound and light waves, emotions, and thoughts/beliefs are all carrying information into our biofield. Do we want raw unprocessed foods or dead chemical-laden foods? Do we want beautiful art and harmonious soothing music or discordant images and sounds? Do we want to feel love and gratitude for ourselves and life or be in resentment and fear?

These are things to consider as we address any health challenges or concerns we may have.

Marc S. Micozzi, MD, Ph.D., in this unique book is able to look at these healing traditions in light of modern wisdom about physics and the flaws in allopathic medical approaches. He provides an historical overview of Eastern and Western healing philosophies, pointing out how Asian traditions such as Ayurveda and Chinese Medicine are metaphysical-based, unlike the mechanistic/materialist medical tradition that sprung from the time of Newtonian physics.

This book looks at the paradigms which underlie these healing traditions and how modern findings about consciousness, energy, and healing support those ancient traditions. Micozzi points out the fundamental similarities between the various Eastern healing systems, showing how they rely on assumptions of a vital spiritual force governing one's health and the need to seek harmony within oneself and with one's environment.

Mind (thoughts, emotions) was seen by these ancient traditions as a critical factor in health and illness, and healing practitioners would work on multiple levels to help people foster well-being. Whether looking at prana and the chakras and nadis, or chi and the dan tiens and meridians, we can see how these cultures mapped the energy system long before modern scientists developed technology to measure electromagnetic correlates of these subtle energy flows.

This book offers a great outline/overview of multiple healing traditions - including also the larger context of how Western medicine went astray from this understanding and the results of that distorted allopathic focus (wasteful healthcare spending and chronic illness). Readers from many backgrounds can appreciate this scholarly work. This book is suited to both professionals in the healing arts as well as laypersons. If medical students were to read this we might have a much more effective health care workforce, where people would have a better understanding of health and the forces that govern our well-being. This book is well-researched and it even includes an appendix of Asian medicine treatment approaches for common health concerns.

The medical community and the general public are generally familiar with massage therapy, which uses manual massage and manipulation of body tissues to help release tension and enhance bloodflow and metabolic processes in the body.  Many people also recognize the effects of massage from their experience with "sensual" massage, which stimulates the body's erotic senses and responses. Thus, it can be seen how massage can have both relaxing and stimulating effects, helping the body's systems function in more desirable ways.

Massage has been part of most traditional healing systems, such as Oriental/Chinese and Ayurvedic/Indian medicine, where it is understood within the context of the subtle energy system governing the body, not just as a means of physical manipulation to clear tension or stimulate body processes.  While the physical influence is important, the energetic influences affecting the body are just as essential.  The energy field of a healing practitioner is resonating with and exchanging information with the energy field of a patient - even at a distance.  Numerous parapsychology and distance healing experiments have confirmed the reality of quantum non-locality and quantum entanglement. Some healers work with many of their clients remotely, via phone or Internet.  By establishing resonance and tuning in to another person's energy system a healing shift can be facilitated.

Each of us has multiple subtle energy bodies that nourish and inform our physical body... energy healing works more directly with these subtle energy layers (since the healer is tuning in to those layers), in comparison to regular massage treatments which focus on the physical layer.  These subtle bodies are deeper, more essential layers of our self.  Our spiritual self exists with or without a physical body, while it is the source of life force to create and sustain our physical body.  On these deeper layers of our self we hold our thoughts, feelings, attitudes, and beliefs, as well as the imprints of our reactions to past experiences.  Healing often involves releasing or shifting the patterns that are present in these deeper energetic layers.  As these energetic releases occur there can be emotional catharsis as well as physical reactions such as trembling and detoxification.  These are truly powerful, life-changing experiences.

If you have experienced the power and benefits of therapeutic massage you may want to go even further, to the source of the patterns that govern your life and shape your state of health and wellness.  Energy healing methods such as reiki, quantum touch, pranic healing, therapeutic touch, healing touch, medical qi gong, bioenergy healing, Barbara Brennan healing, shamanic healing, and others can assist you in freeing yourself from stress, disease patterns, and limitations that have kept you from aligning with the flow of your own higher potential.  Those who seek personal growth and lasting healing shifts often find that energetic healing methods are essential to assist with these endeavors.

Qigong refers to numerous oriental energy work practices.  These practices use movement, breath, meditation, and other tools for moving and transforming energy.  Singing Dragon is publishing a new book on using qigong to deal with stress, on the heels of its 2009 release of a book on managing depression with qigong.  This October 2010 book is titled Managing Stress With Qigong.  The book will be available at Amazon.com and other book retailers.

This book is authored by Gordon Faulkner, an instructor at the Chanquanshu School of Daoist Arts, a UK school of these Oriental practices. Gordon is very knowledgeable and experienced in qigong practices and provides a nice overview of Taoist philosophy and practices, including a discussion of Chinese medicine.  The main part of this book outlines specific exercises, explaining how they affect one's energetic state and help clear stress.  There are clear instructions and pictures showing you how to do each of the exercises and there are a variety of exercises to explore - anyone can find exercises here that suit them.

The book is divided into an introduction, practice, and principles of action.  This gives the reader just enough understanding to begin practicing the exercises - and for those wishing to get a deeper understanding the later part of the book provides further explanation and a glossary.  The practice exercises come from the Daoyin Yangsheng branch of qigong, which is prominent in China since being developed in the 1970s based on ancient traditions combined with modern knowledge of physiology and health. For anyone seeking gentle exercises that help reduce stress and tension, this book would be valuable.

We are each multi-dimensional beings composed of consciousness, energy/vibration, and physical form.  Our health and well-being is a function of our system maintaining equilibrium as it interacts with its perceived environment.  This requires nourishment and proper functioning of all our systems - nervous and endocrine systems, cardiovascular system, digestive system, excretory system, immune and lymphatic system, and more.  These systems are being operated unconsciously and depend on sufficient energy flow and accurate information.  Various stresses can disrupt these systems, and lack of energy or nourishment can also lead to breakdowns in these symptoms.  When this occurs symptoms of illness arise.

The allopathic medical response is often to attack the symptoms (hide the warning signs) and hope that the body will recover while you are trying to ignore it and escape suffering.  Physicians may also surgically remove body parts that have started to break down or malfunction - rather than helping the body heal and repair itself, which it is innately capable of doing.  The system of consciousness that forms your body turned a single microscopic fertilized egg cell into your entire body!  It can certainly repair any organ or tissue that has been damaged or impaired.

True healers help you access the natural resources within yourself and the natural world that enable you to heal.  Modern medicine has ways of controlling chemical processes temporarily, but cannot restore us to wholeness.  When we are sick it is vital to identify what our symptoms are telling us - otherwise we will remain ignorant and continue to perpetuate the patterns that are fostering our dysfunction.  Each of must take responsibility for our states of illness and health, for we are the ones with the most power to change our lives.

Vibrational medicine incorporates healing methods that use vibrational energy frequencies to facilitate healing.  Since we are all multi-level vibrational beings, vibrational healing methods are a powerful way to support health and wellness.  Vibrational healing includes methods that apply healing energies from nature (such as laying on of hands therapies, Bach flower essences, essential oils, herbs, crystals, and homeopathic remedies) as well as frequencies generated by computer and electromagnetic instruments (Rife machines, laser and LED lights, sound generators, quantum biofeedback instruments, etc.)

Our bodies depend on light and sound for cellular communication and there are multiple layers of energy that underlie the physical body.  Metaphysical teachers often name and describe the non-physical layers of the energy system, and intuitive healers interact with those energetic layers to foster healing.  These practices have been present in human cultures for thousands of years.  Now, these traditional methods are being integrated with modern technology and sensing methods such as kirlian photography and quantum computing systems to identify and treat energetic imbalances.

Energy medicine offers healing potentials that are beyond the limitations of conventional chemical-based medicine.  If your health concerns aren't effectively addressed by ordinary treatments there is a good chance that energy healing approaches can provide better results.  Disturbances need to be treated on the levels where they are present to get the best opportunity for healing to occur.  Since most of our "self" exists in these subtle energy fields we have the greatest opportunity for healing when we work with these deeper layers of our being.  Those wishing to learn more can find many books on energy medicine and vibrational medicine.  Some good energy healing references can be found at http://www.phinsights.com/reiki1.html
