Scientists working at eight laboratories located throughout five countries have published an article in the Journal of Experimental Clinical Cancer Research (2009;28:51) which suggests that use of noninvasive frequencies can effectively treat cancers. This international team, headed by Dr. Alexandre Barbault of Switzerland, reported that most frequencies were lethal to a particular cancer type. They call their treatment device a "noninvasive biofeedback method."

In the clinical research study, 13 patients were followed to measure therapy response. Of these, one with a hormone-refractory breast cancer metastatic to the adrenal gland and bone had a complete response lasting 11 months. A similar patient had a partial response lasting 13.5 months. Four patients exhibited a stable disease state: of these, one with thyroid cancer metastatic to the lung had 34.1 months stability, a non-small cell lung cancer patient was stable for 5.1 months, a patient with pancreatic cancer metastatic to liver was stabilized for 41 months and a patient with leiomyosarcoma remained stable for 4.0 months.

The researchers concluded that "cancer-related frequencies appear to be tumor-specific and treatment with tumor-specific frequencies is feasible, well tolerated, and may have biological efficacy in patients with advanced cancer."

The authors explained that in their study of cancer patients they had observed "strikingly similar frequencies among patients with the same type of cancer." This research supports theories in the field of vibrational medicine that view cancer and other diseases as occurring due to energetic imbalances and shifts in vibrational energy field frequency at multiple levels, including the cellular level where cells may adjust to the energy state shift by transforming into cancerous cells that engage in an altered form of metabolism.

The "biofeedback" frequency therapy approach bears resemblance to the ideas of 20th Century American inventor, Royal Raymond Rife (1888-1971). During the 1930s, Rife invented what he called a "beam ray" device that could destroy cancers and virally-induced diseases by vibrating at the "Mortal Oscillatory Rate" (MOR) of the cancer cell or pathogen. Rife's therapy was harmless to healthy cells and was recognized by major news publications and prominent physicians at the time. In 1987 Barry Lynes published a book about Rife's discoveries called "The Cancer Cure That Worked." While the sale of various Rife machines increased, many researchers have pointed out that most modern Rife devices don't truly replicate the way in which Rife delivered frequencies to patients he worked with, and may not be as effective as Rife's original treatments.

Did you know that your teeth are alive, constantly losing and gaining minerals as you eat, drink, and salivate? Chemist Dr. Judd, whose guide to maintaining healthy teeth throughout one's lifespan has become an underground classic, was an advocate of cleaning one's teeth with natural soaps and helping avoid tooth decay by neutralizing excess acids in the mouth with dietary mineral content combined with proper rinsing of the mouth and toothpaste-free brushing.

According to Judd and those who have expanded on his findings and practices, toothpastes leave coatings on teeth that interfere with re-enamelization and remineralization of teeth. Acids in our diet react with the surface of teeth, de-mineralizing the teeth and leading to decay as bacteria come to break down the depleted teeth. In Judd's view, sugar itself is not a direct culprit in tooth decay, but is instead an indirect factor since high sugar consumption depletes minerals from the body.  Judd also considered fluoride additives in water and toothpastes to be hazardous to our health, another reason to discard toothpastes and begin cleaning your teeth with simple soaps.

Judd encouraged people to consume a natural, whole food-based diet, high in minerals, particularly those needed to build teeth and bones such as calcium, magnesium, and phosphorus. These, combined with natural vitamin sources from foods and sunlight exposure (Vitamin D) help the body sustain strong, well-mineralized teeth. From this perspective, neither tooth loss nor bone loss should be considered natural or inevitable results of aging.

Using tooth soaps not only helps maintain healthy teeth, but it also helps heal gums and prevent infections in the tooth and gum areas. Using some ordinary soaps can be sufficient for dental health purposes, yet health advocate and entrepreneur Karen Van Cleef created a company that offers products made with natural, organic essential oils and no synthetic ingredients, to help support dental health and ensure no impure ingredients go in your mouth. Karen's company, Vitality Products, Inc., offers Tooth Soap and the booklet Perfect Prescription For Your Teeth.

In a May 2007 report aired on NBC affiliate television station WLWT in Cincinnati, Ohio, servicemen claimed that severe health problems arose following vaccinations given to those who were committed to serving America. Military and government authorities then refused to acknowledge the link between the vaccine shots and the crippling illnesses.

"This is the worst cover-up in the history of the military," said an unidentified military health officer, quoted in the WLWT investigative report. The vaccine shots are apparently leaving some U.S. soldiers on the verge of death, an increasingly common non-combat casualty of military service. Featured in the WLWT report was Lance Corporal David Fey, 20 at the time, who was receiving dialysis three days a week. His kidneys failing, his military career over, he reported feeling like his country had abandoned him.

Fey was one of a group of Marines who lined up for an undisclosed shot in November 2005. Fey recalled. "After that shot, I started swelling up. I gained 30 pounds of water. My eyes swelled up where I couldn't see. I started snoring. I developed a rash on my hand." Three weeks later, Fey was back home in Clermont County on his death bed at Clinton Memorial Hospital. His kidneys were failing, and his body was so swollen that it left stretch marks. Fey's mother, Cindy Fey began scouring her son's medical records in search of answers. She said the shot was never listed in his medical records and the military claimed he never received a shot. Yet, the military's story would later change. The Department of Defense stated that "all service members' vaccinations are documented in the individual's permanent medical record." Nevertheless, Fey's military medical records did not report any shot on that date. Another Marine in Fey's unit told the WLWT reporter that there was no shot listed in his medical records either and that those who gave shots never told his unit what the shot was. Then, many months later, Fey's medical records were mysteriously changed with a handwritten notation indicating that the mystery shot that had first been denied, then described as confidential, was in reality a flu vaccine.

Fey is one of a growing number of soldiers who have become seriously ill after receiving military vaccinations. The Department of Defense medical officer who spoke with WLWT said that the number is up in the thousands. The symptoms range from joint aches and pains and arthritic symptoms to death. While The Department of Defense said that it encourages "healthcare workers and vaccine recipients to report adverse (reactions) events," the military never reported Fey's reaction to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, or the FDA. The DOD officer said those who have claimed to have had adverse reactions to shots are treated like it is all in their heads.

This week, Miami, Florida area doctor Roberto Rodriguez was sentenced to eight years in prison and ordered to pay $9 million back to Medicare after being convicted of committing fraud in submitting fraudulent claims for treatments supposedly provided to patients with HIV and AIDS. The physician recruited patients who were given these diagnoses and then enlisted to make the fraudulent claims for HIV drug infusions, in which multiple medical professionals were sharing in the profits from the Medicare payouts for these unneeded and non-existent treatments. This rather blatant scam is just one symptom of a medical system geared toward profit rather than fostering public health. In the area of HIV and AIDS treatment the disregard for the scientific method and natural immune enhancing therapies has been widespread, as documented by many independent HIV & AIDS researchers such as Dr. Leonard Horowitz and Dr. Peter Duesberg.

HIV tests have been shown to be unreliable at showing whether a person truly has an infection, and there is considerable doubt among many researchers as to whether HIV is really the cause of immune deficiency syndrome. Factors such as substance abuse, poor nutrition, infections with other types of pathogens, exposure to chemicals, and exposure to anti-retroviral chemotherapy drugs are all known to impair the immune system and sometimes foster a progression of illness that matches the symptoms of AIDS. With a lot of hype about HIV as an incurable deadly disease one would have expected it to spread more widely and be more deadly than it has been. Yet, the areas where HIV/AIDS has supposedly created the most misery and death are populations with high levels of drug abuse or malnutrition. It would appear that the materials believed to represent the presence of a retrovirus are harmless in healthy people, and that other factors are present which are damaging the immune system. If this is the case, then the focus of treatment would need to be on addressing the factors that contribute to immune breakdown - getting patients off of drugs, providing immune enhancing nutrition, promoting a healthy pH balance, and cleansing the body. Fostering a positive, empowering attitude, and clearing away any mental and emotional negativity (such as fear, anger, or guilt) would help restore health as well.

Thus, Dr. Rodriguez is not the only one defrauding AIDS patients... the medical establishment in general has pursued a misleading paradigm that wastes public funds on research and treatments that are applied based on dubious assumptions about AIDS and health care. Furthermore, while the fake HIV infusion treatments merely took the public's money (from Medicare), many standard HIV and AIDS treatments have harmed the public's health, with the doctors who have practiced these toxic treatments being lauded rather than prosecuted.

Each of us is a powerful multi-dimensional being, containing multiple layers of energy and consciousness, which inform the functioning of our illusory physical bodies.  In physics scientists recognize the concept of particle-wave duality, where light is merely a wave until it is observed, and the interaction with the observer generates the appearance of the existence of a particle in time-space, from the observer's perspective.  In reality, everything is in a state of vibration, and the universe is a field of information where everything exists as a sub-field within the greater field, a wave within the infinite ocean of Being.  Thus, when we look at our health and medical treatment from just one dimension we are severely limiting our potential for healing and transformation, since there are multiple other layers that influence the reality we perceive.

Most healthcare practitioners are very specialized and focused on narrow treatment protocols and theories.  Specialization in medicine generates higher profits for doctors and higher costs for patients, yet the available data shows it yields no benefit in treatment outcomes or public health.  All systems of our body are interrelated just as each one of us is interconnected with our society and ultimately with all of Creation, as we all exist within the greater Unified Field of Creation.  Not only are all the parts and systems of the body energetically and holographically connected, but the physical body is inseparable from higher vibrational layers of our being - our emotions, thoughts, beliefs, and our soul and spirit.  The metaphysical layers of our being actually hold blueprints for what will manifest physically.  In traditional cultures this was known and accepted as inherently true, and healers would be trained to work on all levels - physically (massage, herbs, diet, etc.), energetically (laying on of hands, acupressure, psychic healing, psychic surgery, light and sound, crystals, etc.), psychologically (counsel/guidance and social support), and spiritually (use of sacred rituals and connection with spiritual guidance).

Our present culture fragments and disconnects these aspects of our being.  Modern medicine tends to completely ignore many of these layers and the layer it does treat (physiology) it chooses to treat often in a suppressive manner rather than a supportive manner.  To fully understand things we need to have a full picture - to see things from an all-encompassing perspective.  In health care that means exploring all the layers and dimensions of our being.  Using an approach where our perspective is handicapped, we become like the fable of the blind men describing an elephant, unable to apply a valid picture of reality.  This leads to unwise choices and a limited range of effective treatment interventions.  When you speak with a doctor or other practitioner it is helpful to see if that person is aware of and able to acknowledge and value other approaches to healthcare beyond what he/she may specialize in.  Many doctors may dismiss some approaches based on very limited information or because the alternative ideas and treatments are a threat to their existing belief system.  Sometimes people will cling to discredited or disproven theories and beliefs regardless of what evidence is present.  There are many ways to deny, distort, or ignore evidence that contradicts one's view of reality.  Many of us do this in one area of our lives even though we demonstrate solid critical thinking in other areas of our lives.

I encourage all who read this to be open to recognizing the limitations of their existing perspective, to learn about new ideas and more expansive, multidimensional views of health and wellness.

Emotional Freedom Technique is a healing method created by Gary Craig which uses acupressure combined with affirmations and other exercises to help release emotional patterns and other mind-body disturbances. EFT is one of many modern energy psychology methods that incorporate energetic techniques that bridge mind and body to facilitate healing and transformation. These methods are often similar in some ways to old shamanic and native healing practices, which can be seen in the teachings of Hawaiian Huna healer Serge King, creator of the Dyna-Mind Technique, a simple healing method similar to EFT.

EFT practitioners will have a client bring to awareness an issue that is unresolved. This could be a physical health concern, an emotional issue, an addiction, or anything which is a source of discomfort or anxiety. Then, while verbalizing a mantra such as "even though I experience this issue of fear of flying, I fully love and accept myself," the person will tap or press on a set of basic acupuncture points on the body. This basic sequence is repeated and refined until the recipient experiences clearing or reduction in discomfort/distress connected with the issue. This is something that anyone can learn and apply for oneself. The Emotional Freedom Technique website has a free basic manual available for download. There are also many experienced EFT practitioners all over the world as well as practitioners of other energy psychology methods that have benefited numerous people in creating powerful shifts and healing in their lives.

Energy psychology and other methods that access the energy system and subconscious levels of mind are gaining many followers, as they are providing rapid and effective healing for many people who aren't helped by medical treatment or conventional cognitive and behavioral psychotherapy approaches. Anyone looking to find safe, effective ways to heal emotional or emotionally-influenced health concerns may benefit from learning about and experiencing these techniques.

Surrounding and interpenetrating our physical bodies are fields and currents of subtle energies.  This life force energy, called chi, prana, kundalini, reiki, or the vital force, governs and reflects our physical, emotional, and mental health.  The state of this energy system reflects our physical and psychological state.  If we repattern and balance this energy flow then our physical state and emotional state will shift as well.

Psychological issues can be perceived as distortions in the flow of energy in our aura and chakras.  The aura is the multi-layered field of energy that surrounds and informs our physical body.  It contains information about our past, present, and potential futures, holding energy patterns we have created in response to past experiences.  It interacts with the energy layers of the body through the chakras and meridian system.  The chakras are wheels of light, vortices of energy correlated with areas along the central channel of our body, such as the coccyx, sacral cavity, solar plexus, heart, throat, brow, and the crown of the head.  The energy flow in the chakras affects our nervous system and endocrine system, which regulate hormone and neurotransmitter production and thus our emotional states as reflected by chemical activity in the body.  Energy healing therapies like Reiki, EFT, Bodytalk, Chi Gong, Healing Touch, Energy Medicine, and CranioSacral Therapy can quickly rebalance energy patterns and stabilize one's mood.  Since these energy layers are at a deeper level of causality than the biochemical layer, these therapies have longer lasting effects than drug therapies, and there aren't any harmful side effects.

Patients often report rapid relief from anxiety or a lift from depression after energy healing sessions, as their vibrational energy state has shifted and the patterns generated by fear or depression has been transformed into a healthier emotional expression.  Recent research with Reiki has shown significant reduction in stress, anxiety, and blood pressure, and improved mood among those with depression.  Reiki has also been demonstrated to benefit those undergoing treatment and in recovery from alcohol and substance abuse.  Energy healing can be seen as a vital component of any mental health treatment plan, and if you haven't incorporated energy healing into your care or practice then now is a great time to start, as these therapies are becoming more readily available and inexpensive as more people learn these practices.

In light of a growing scandal in the Florida Foster Care system, where stressed and traumatized children are often drugged to suppress their feelings and sedate their behavior, it is time to look at some of the latest evidence about treating distressed children with psychotropic medicines.  In a June 19th, 2009 article written by Amy Sherman in the Miami Herald, Mez Pierre, a 22 year old former foster child is quoted with the comments "When I was on medications I always felt like a zombie...I felt drowsy. I didn't feel human. I felt like I was an animal on a farm being tested."  Pierre was placed on multiple drugs and given multiple psychiatric diagnoses such as ADHD and bipolar disorder, beginning from the age of 5.  He now is functioning successfully working at a job and attending college as an adult without the medications, and advocating for reform of how the state treats children in the foster care system.  Clearly, the doctors' beliefs that he had a medical illness that needed to be medicated were not accurate.

Researchers from Seattle Children's Hospital and the University of Washington, Seattle, have explored how a popular SSRI drug used to treat autistic symptoms actually affects the targeted behavior.  Autistic children often exhibit repetitive behaviors, and Celexa (citalopram) is a medicine often used in an attempt to suppress those behaviors.  The study of 149 children with autistic spectrum disorders showed an increase in the behavior disturbance among those treated with this drug for 3 months, as compared to a control group.  Those given the medication also had significant levels of adverse reactions, including psychiatric symptoms and physical symptoms considered to be side effects of the medication.  This research, described at Natural News and reported in the Archives of General Psychiatry, should be of concern to parents whose children are being medicated for those symptoms.

In government sponsored research of popular drugs used to treat ADHD, it has been found that these medications are correlated with a 500% increase in sudden death occurrences.  Even though the biggest longitudinal study ever carried out to examine the effects of treatments for ADHD has shown no long-term benefits from drug treatment, medical professionals continue to claim the benefits of these drugs outweigh the risks - an absurdity noted by health writer Mike Adams in his recent article.

Other research on psychiatric medications has shown significant increases in suicidality among youth who are prescribed those drugs, as well as a variety of other psychiatric disturbances such as anxiety, aggression, and psychosis.  Many of these medications are now required to carry warnings about the hazards of psychiatric symptoms in children and adolescents caused by the medicine.  The treatment is clearly worse than the supposed illness, in many cases, and doctors fail to explore the many other treatment approaches that are safe and often quite effective.  The Hippocratic Oath taken by doctors implores them to first do no harm - yet modern medicine violates this oath on a regular basis.  This is strikingly visible in the way children with challenging emotions and behaviors are treated.

Common psychiatric issues can be treated in a variety of ways.  People who experience anxiety, phobias, PTSD, and other symptoms associated with stress and trauma are exhibiting coping mechanisms that serve a purpose from the perspective of the subconscious and the body's self-preservation instincts but which have become dysfunctional and out of congruence with the reality of their present environment.  To resolve these issues it is often important to address them at the level where they are embedded in the person's information processing system.

When we have any experience, our mind forms a perception and interpretation of that situation or experience.  When we view an experience in a negative way we may feel victimized, injured, betrayed, abused, demeaned, angry, helpless, embarrassed, or some other way that leaves us feeling less than whole.  Our perception and belief about the situation fosters our emotions, and these emotions are powerful energy patterns than can be expressed and released or which can become stuck in our energy field.  When the emotions become stuck they will lead us toward future situations that help retrigger those feelings, and they may also disturb the energy patterns in the physical body and foster illness.  Disturbances in energy flow are a chief factor in the develop of illness from a holistic medicine point of view.  Oriental and Indian medical systems focus a lot on clearing energy blocks and balancing energy flow through therapies like massage, acupuncture, reiki, chi gong, yoga, breathwork, diet, and herbs.

To heal these patterns we can allow the issue to arise in our awareness and release the energy and emotions while simultaneously shifting our thoughts and beliefs and perceptions about the experience.  When we let go of resistance to whatever the experience was or any challenging issue in our life, we allow energy to flow more freely.  We let the conscious and subconscious mind reconnect and cooperate instead of having the subconscious continue to run an old self-preservation program that the consious mind recognizes is no longer useful or constructive.  Since it was a limitation in our perceptions and beliefs that fostered an exaggerated anxiety response in the first place, we can identify that belief structure and transform it so that we don't recreate the issue in the future.

Energy psychology and hypnotic therapies, such as EMDR, EFT, Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP), Regression Hypnosis, Neuromodulation Technique (NMT), Psych-K, Thought Field Therapy, Neuro-Emotional Technique (NET), and Emotional Release Bodywork, are ways of helping clear the old energy patterns and emotions and shifting self-limiting beliefs.  These are rapid healing approaches.  Pure laying on of hands types of vibrational healing therapies are also good ways of fostering release of old energies and emotions.  Reiki, CranioSacral Therapy, Radix, Rolfing, Pranic Healing, Quantum Touch, Healing Touch, and Shamanic Healing methods can all facilitate resolution of PTSD, anxiety, phobias, and other stress and trauma-related syndromes.  Rather than just suppressing symptoms with drugs or talking about experiences, individuals can truly accept their experiences and release any emotional and energetic patterns that tie them to the past and keep them from going forward in life free of excessive fear.  We have an opportunity to reclaim our self and release the old stories and reactions that have kept us in a prison of our own making.  Remember the old saying FEAR = false evidence appearing real?  Let us transform it into FEAR = Face Everything And Relax!  Once we learn to not reject any of our experiences or view them as negative or ourselves as victims then we can reclaim our power and know that we can choose to not live in fear any more.  Once we do move forward and realize that we're OK then the old fear dissolves as the subconscious no longer believes it needs to protect us.

The thyroid gland, located in our neck, is a vital gland for regulating a variety of body functions. It is our natural thermostat and it also affects the activity of other glands. Thyroid disturbances are linked to many psychiatric conditions as well, such as depression, anxiety, and ADHD, since thyroid hormones influence the nervous system and brain chemistry, including the regulation of serotonin and melatonin levels. The thyroid gland regulates metabolism, and thyroid health is important for managing one's weight. Most common are conditions of an underactive thyroid gland, which is called hypothyroidism. Overactive thyroid glands are associated with hyperthyroidism.

Thyroid Gland

The thyroid gland is sensitive to mineral imbalances and vitamin deficiencies. Lack of iodine has long been associated with hypothyroidism. In modern times iodine has been added to salt, yet thyroid underfunctioning is still quite common, as many people have low functioning thyroids that haven't reached the point of producing a goiter. A goiter is a swelling and enlargement of the thyroid, as the gland seeks to expand in an attempt to compensate for the lack of hormones that has occurred due to nutritional deficit.

In addition to iodine, selenium is an important mineral for the thyroid gland. It's also a vital mineral to support the immune system and prevent cancer. Those with hypothyroidism usually benefit from increasing natural selenium and iodine intake. Sufficient amounts of B vitamins and amno acids are also needed to effectively metabolize these elements and to produce and regulate thyroid hormones. What many people are unaware of is that iodine is in the same family of elements as fluorine and chlorine, and its absorption is interfered with by the presence of those elements. Chlorine and fluorine compounds are added to water and to some medications, so those with underactive thyroid glands would be wise to eliminate exposure to chlorine and fluorine - which means avoiding tap water, swimming pools, toothpastes, and other products that expose them to unnaturally high levels of those elements.

Moving now beyond the chemical level we will look at the psychospiritual and energetic factors that influence thyroid functioning. In holistic medicine we consider the subtle energy system, which includes the meridians and chakras that govern energy distribution. The thyroid gland is located at the throat chakra, the center for communication and self-expression. Problems with communication and self-expression interfere with energy flow at the throat chakra and affect the thyroid gland. Energy therapies that help clear blocks in that chakra will help normalize thyroid functioning and may also reduce soar throats and throat infections. Reiki and acupuncture are examples of therapies that help restore energy flow to the throat area and support thyroid health. Psychological therapies that help one build self-confidence and healthy self-expression will also be beneficial for addressing thyroid issues. This includes hypnosis and energy psychology techniques.

If you have a thyroid problem, it's good to get multiple opinions about treatment. Many doctors may routinely prescribe synthetic thyroid hormones without addressing any of the factors that are disturbing the functioning of this important gland. Synthetic hormones are just one option, as natural glandular extracts are also available and natural supplements and other therapies that help the body heal itself are accessible. We live in a society that discourages honest self-expression and which subjects us to poor nutrition and many chemicals that interfere with healthy thyroid functioning. Thus, thyroid issues are quite common. Fortunately, we have the information and understanding available to heal these issues when we apply this knowledge.
