For this article I'd like to invite readers to think outside the box of the five senses and the paradigm of modern medicine that limits itself within the illusion of those senses and the beliefs that arise from interpreting reality based upon those limitations.

Albert Einstein, the most acclaimed physicist of the 20th Century, stated that "On such things as matter we have all been wrong, what we have called matter is energy, whose vibration has been so lowered as to be perceptible to the senses.  There is no matter."  This reminds us that our senses are merely sensors and interpreters of vibrational energy within a very limited frequency range.  Senses may interpret vibration as sound, light/color, smell, taste, or physical sensation, yet the input is merely vibration carrying information with no objective meaning.  There are many frequencies beyond what we can normally be aware of with our five senses, while our body does respond to these other frequencies even though we may not be conscious of it.  X-rays, ultraviolet and infrared light, ELF and ultrasound, radio waves, and other frequencies in the electromagnetic spectrum are around us and influencing us.  Beyond those frequencies there are energies of an even more subtle nature associated with consciousness - thought fields and emotion fields, which metaphysicians refer to with names such as astral body, emotional body, mental body, and spiritual body.  Russian physicists have detected what they call torsion fields, which reflect the vibrational patterns of consciousness that underlie the whole spectrum of detectable frequencies that include the electromagnetic spectrum and physical "matter."  Consciousness doesn't arise from the biological brain, but instead everything in physical reality is a projection generated by consciousness of some form, which is why some physicists have referred to the universe as the "holographic" universe, since just like a hologram it is a projection.

Researcher Guiliana Conforto once stated that "every cell pulsates, absorbs, reflects and interacts with the acoustic oscillations of the medium."  The medium is the background field through which vibration radiates.  As human beings, our energy system contains the full spectrum of energies from consciousness all the way down to perceived physical matter bodies.  Every conceivable form of energy has been used to influence human beings, in both beneficial and harmful ways.  There are sound healing tools as well as sonic weapons, star wars laser weapons and laser light healing devices, etc.  People who practice energy healing techniques like Reiki, Healing Touch, Quantum Touch, Therapeutic Touch, Chi Gong, Pranic Healing, Shamanic Healing, Bioenergetic Healing, & Craniosacral Therapy will use the energy/vibration that radiates through oneself to help sense and transform vibrational patterns in the energy fields of other people.  The energy radiated through a person includes the entire spectrum of frequencies, since the person exists as an extension of vibrational energy through every level, from the Spiritual Source down to the physical body.

There are also technological devices that create specific frequencies to promote healing as well as quantum biofeedback devices that both diagnose and treat vibrational disturbances by emitting frequencies in the electromagnetic spectrum.  One of the more advanced devices of this type is called the QXCI and is also known by the EPFX and SCIO acronyms.  These EM devices do not directly resonate with the non-physical layers of one's being beyond the EM spectrum, they just address the electromagnetic level harmonic of those higher frequencies.  Thus, they may not always effectively foster a shift at the level where a disturbance originates.  Using the information gleaned from these quantum healing technologies one could clarify what other healing resources might best address the root of a problem when the electrical frequency feedback fails to resolve an issue.  Technological devices have inherent limitations which are somewhat different than the limitations that human healers have, and there is much value in both of these types of quantum healing resources.

Modern medicine focuses on manipulating the physical body, primarily with chemicals and surgeries.  It largely ignores the other layers of vibration that are essential to the very existence of the physical body - essentially ignoring the director, projector, and medium which create the picture of the human form.  If you didn't like a movie showing in the theater would you attempt to go up to the screen and cover over or rearrange the image?  If you were the filmmaker you would make changes in the script, cast, effects, music, costumes, etc., and re-shoot whatever needs to be changed so that it can be re-recorded and then appear as you like it when it gets to the film projector to be displayed on a screen.  Yet, a lot of what modern medicine does is analogous to trying to edit a film by covering things over on the video screen.

Quantum refers to the concept in physics of a realm of potentials where consciousness creates what will manifest in perceived reality.  From that place of potential great shifts and miracles can happen, since it's not limited to the time-space confines of the lower vibrating phyiscal plane.  There are many techniques which are considered types of quantum healing, and many practitioners are achieving exceptional results.  If you want to change the picture of your health and your life quickly and profoundly, then quantum healing approaches may be your best option.

One of the most widely debated subjects in health care this decade has been the topic of autism. Autism rates have increased dramatically and the mainstream medical institutions are unable to explain this, even while they reject the explanation that seems to most logically explain this rapid rise in autism - the massive increase in administration of vaccine shots to children. In this article I will be sharing some of the most advanced information on this topic, guiding you as the reader to learn how you can help prevent autism and help those who have been diagnosed with autism and autistic spectrum disorders access therapies that may effectively reverse the condition and heal autism. There are now a growing number of organizations that are enlightening the public about the role of vaccines in triggering autism and the benefits of biomedical treatments that help detoxify the body and restore normal immune, digestive, and neurological functioning in those who have been diagnosed with ASD (autistic spectrum disorders). These are organizations that are primarily supported by holistic practitioners and by passionate parents who wish to help others and share what they have discovered about autism and how it can be effectively treated. Organizations that have financial ties to the pharmaceutical industry (which includes government agencies) continue to deny any link between vaccines and autism, and have brazenly misrepresented the available research on this subject to justify that conclusion.

The debate about whether vaccines contribute to autism would probably not exist if there weren't a coverup and distortion of the body of evidence that links vaccinations to higher autism rates.

Here is a site that lists 14 key studies on this subject http://www.fourteenstudies.org

For those who enjoy videos, a lecture from a D.A.N. (Defeat Autism Now) Conference is available to be viewed:

Here are links to several organizations that openly share the evidence about the vaccine-autism link and promote therapies that have effectively treated many autism cases based upon the understanding of the effects of vaccines and how those effects lead to the neurological disturbances and symptoms associated with autism.

So, readers are welcome to visit those sites for a wealth of documentation supporting major points in this article.

Autistic children have been shown to have abnormal patterns of detoxification of heavy metals they are exposed to. They tend to hold these elements in their body rather than effectively excreting them, so hair analysis tests will often show very low levels of mercury or other heavy metals since those elements are being held in the body in certain areas where they will affect cellular metabolism. It is well known that heavy metals impair brain functioning. Lead, for example, has long been associated with mental retardation and other neurological conditions. Aluminum is found concentrated in the brains of persons with Alzheimers disease. Mercury has been associated with mental illness for so long that we have the phrase "mad hatter," which arose from the mental insanity observed in hatters who were exposed to mercury in their craft.

Since only a small fraction of children exposed to the multiple vaccinations develop autism, there are logically factors at work which make some children vulnerable to adverse response to vaccines and other children relatively invulnerable to the vaccine hazards. One significant court case concerning vaccine injury indicated that a genetic variation with the mitochondrial DNA was the source of why certain children could have the harmful response to the vaccine. In that case, it was claimed that the vaccines merely aggravated a pre-existing mitochondrial disorder. That claim, accepted by the court, contains a major unproven assumption - that the mitochondrial disorder was manifest before the vaccinations were administered. Since the mitochondrial anomaly was found only after the vaccinations and autism diagnosis, there's no evidence to determine that it was present before the vaccinations. It's quite plausible that there was a latent vulnerability in the mitochondrial DNA that became activated by the vaccine exposures, and there would have to be genetic testing done across sizeable population samples before children are vaccinated in order to draw a clear conclusion about causality.

A very interesting theory about how vaccines trigger health problems arises from the research of Dr. Leonard Horowitz (author of DNA: Pirates of The Sacred Spiral). Horowitz cites research showing how vaccines bypass our natural immune response and inject viral material with foreign DNA directly into our blood. This leads to confusion and emergency reactions by the immune system, which can foster autimmune illnesses and damage resulting from the body's attempt to attack or suppress cells contaminated with the viral DNA materials. With autism, gastro-intestinal dysfunctions are very common, and the viral materials associated with common vaccines are often found in the gastrointestinal tract. Autistic children have often responded well to enzyme and probiotic therapies. Enzymes aid digestion, as do probiotics, which are beneficial bacteria that live symbiotically in the intestinal tract. If the body is unable to produce its own enzymes to assimilate food components then those components can become toxic materials in the body. Wheat protein (gluten) and milk protein (casein) are two substances that many autistic individuals can't break down properly, and which produce morphine-like chemicals that would affect the brain in ways that promote autistic symptoms. Wheat and dairy-free diets have helped many children have dramatic recoveries from autism, though that is not a factor in every case of autism. Food allergies and sensitivities are often part of the chain reaction triggered by vaccines that leads to autistic symptoms.

This story becomes even more interesting when you consider the research and ideas of author Sol Luckman (Conscious Healing: The Regenetics Method). Luckman was a healthy, active young man with a successful career in academia until he received immunizations associated with travel overseas. Then, his body began to breakdown as allergies and autoimmune disturbances overtook him and debilitated him. Luckman began to investigate a wide range of healing modalities, including some holistic energy-based allergy elimination techniques. His explorations and experiences led him to develop a system called Regenetics, which is designed to use sound frequencies, chants, and intention to heal one's genetic blueprint. Russian researchers have been especially active in examining how frequencies and consciousness influence DNA, and Luckman's process is not merely a mystic's dream but is grounded in solid principles of how DNA actually functions. Most importantly, Luckman's Regenetics has been effective in helping him recover his robust health and in assisting many others with addressing serious health challenges. Having taken Regenetics practitioner training with Luckman myself I was impressed by the appearance of his health and the strength of his mind and his genius in developing this healing approach. One key part of Luckman's conclusions about vaccines is that the body actually intelligently seeks to neutralize genetically compromised cells by using heavy metal toxins it has accumulated to poison those cells.

Thus, using therapies that address the genetic corruption in combination with therapies to chelate and detoxify the body from the heavy metals while repairing the digestive system with enzymes and probiotics and dietary modification would be a thorough approach to healing autism. Using any of these approaches individually has some success, but doesn't produce dramatic healings for everyone. Recently, I became aware of a case of a man who took his daughter to Costa Rica to get stem cell treatment for autism, and the treatment was successful, with his daughter showing a dramatic recovery. This case was feature on local television here in Miami http://www.justnews.com/health/14253344/detail.html

Now, looking even deeper into the autism puzzle, we can ask how the genetic vulnerabilities arise. My perspective on that is that we exist as fields of consciousness and energy, and disturbances in those fields are imprinted on our genetics. If we could repair and balance our energy fields and patterns of consciousness then the genetics would be automatically transformed. Dr. Bruce Lipton, the author of The Biology of Belief, has described how our thoughts and feelings regulate our genetic expression. Thus, autism and other health issues can be healed and resolved in the realm of consciousness and energy, which is where shamans, energy healers, and other metaphysical healers often may be able to assist.

Excuses Begone! is the title of the new book and public television special by psychologist and best-selling self-help author Dr. Wayne Dyer.  Dr. Dyer challenges us to recognize and overcome our self-defeating and self-limiting thinking and dysfunctional beliefs.  When it comes to claiming our health, people find many excuses to maintain the status quo and not pursue needed changes in their lives or beneficial therapies.  Here are some common excuses people often create for why they choose to remain stuck, with a focus in this article on why people avoid or neglect addressing health concerns:

1. I can't afford it.  This one is a biggie now with the economic climate looking dark.  People will say this without even exploring the treatment options and providers who are available and negotiating arrangements for financial accomodations.  Some of these people would claim they can't afford it even if the services were offered for free, which means they have other excuses they have connected to this one about money.  I personally offer to make whatever accomodations are needed to ensure clients of mine can receive my services - your health is a priority, if you are not well you can't enjoy your money or other material things you temporarily possess.

2. That therapy can't work, if it did all the regular doctors would apply it.  This is a highly illogical one, since every effective therapy begins with only a limited number of practitioners.  Also, people only practice what they are taught and believe in... if people don't know about something or don't believe in it due to their current paradigm or indoctrination they can't practice it.  What the majority believe and practice is often NOT what's the best approach for our health.

3. I don't have time to schedule appointments for that.  Here, people are unwilling to give up other ways they spend or commit their time, which they would need to in order to make space for therapy/treatment.  Again, health must be a priority or other things will become excuses not to address health issues.  Most of the time people can make space for therapy sessions, and there are many practitioners such as myself who offer flexible hours.

4. Nothing's worked before, this won't work either.  Here, people assume that because other things haven't worked that what you offer now can't work either.  If this were true then hardly any new inventions or advancements in society would ever happen because people would give up after some disappointments.  There are no failures, just opportunities to learn.  Those who have been disappointed in the past may be afraid to experience disappointment again and thus avoid trying anything new.  This is a very cautious approach to life that limits the positive opportunities and experiences we have available to us.

5. I'll lose my benefits if I don't have this disability.  Here, people get used to a dependent lifestyle where their needs (especially financial ones) are taken care of for them.  It's scary for some people to have to face the challenges and responsibilities of being more independent.  It's easier to maintain the status quo and not have to face the unknown.  What people often fail to recognize is that security is an illusion - the security blanket we have can easily be taken away, and if we haven't built our independence then we will be greatly distressed when that happens.  We may need to initially face some fears as we claim our power and face responsibilties.  Those who do work through those fears generally recognize that the rewards are worth the challenges and times of discomfort that may be encountered.

6. I can't follow through with things I'm told I need to do.  That's a self-fulfilling prophecy.  Those who believe they can do it and make it a priority will find ways to ensure they follow through with positive lifestyle changes.  Those who believe they can't do it will tend to give up quickly and use that negative belief as their excuse or justification for why they don't make progress.

So, if you are considering pursuing therapy or treatment to enhance your health and well-being, either to treat or prevent health problems, choose to throw away any excuses you have that would discourage you from moving forward.  Excuses Begone!  If something is for your health and well-being why would you want to make excuses to avoid or delay it?

What is hypnosis and how can it benefit you?  That is where we'll begin this article.

Hypnosis is a therapeutic practice that guides you to shift your focus of attention and enter a more relaxed state where you have access to your subconscious mind and inner healing resources.  Hypnosis guides us into mental states that we naturally enter at various times during an ordinary day, such as when one is daydreaming or relaxing, meditating, or engrossed in creative or artistic activities.  It is not something where you fall asleep or let someone else control you and tell you what to do unless that is your intention and what you want to do in the session.  A professional, ethical hypnotherapist would not support a patient in giving away power or control to the therapist.  Hypnosis is practiced by many licensed health care providers, including psychotherapists, psychiatrists, doctors, dentists, and nurses.  It is also practiced by non-medical personnel who are trained as hypnotists and by others who merely learn self-hypnosis to practice on their own for personal benefit.

Since hypnosis guides us into more relaxed mental states it is a great way to relieve stress and anxiety.  Due to the fact that stress and anxiety are contributing factors in a variety of mental and physical health challenges, just practicing progressive relaxation methods of hypnotic induction can help people experience reductions in symptoms of health complaints.  Yet, this is just one aspect of how hypnotherapy can help you and provide healing benefits.

Once you are in a relaxed state (associated with a predominance of slower brainwave patterns in the alpha and theta ranges) you can more easily access information and patterns in your subconscious mind.  It is at the subconscious level of mind that body processes are regulated and reflexive behaviors and emotional patterns are maintained.  Thus, while in the session with a professional hypnotherapist you may receive guidance and suggestions that enable you to transform these patterns.  Release old habits and addictions, change your metabolism, program yourself to eat healthy and exercise as you seek to lose weight, dissolve fears and phobias, and create positive imagery and beliefs in your sibconscious to support you in developing skills and talents, building healthy relationships, and achieving success in your life.  Hypnosis has been shown to be beneficial in assisting people with issues such as depression, anxiety, ADHD, phobias, PTSD, pain, addictions, and chronic health issues.

Our deepest beliefs, thoughts, feelings, and attitudes guide our lives.  If you are seeking health, wealth, and happiness in your life then you'll want to have your subconscious mind supporting you rather than sabotaging you.  Now may be the time to make a commitment to yourself, to work on patterning yourself for success and well-being.  An ongoing program of hypnosis sessions or self-hypnosis practice will be an excellent way to create an accelerated shift in your life.

This post is provided to help explain what might be considered alternative and holistic treatment approaches for mental health concerns.  These approaches can include natural biochemical-related therapies like diet and nutritional supplements, energetic therapies, such as homeopathy, acupuncture, yoga, reiki, and energy psychology, and psychological and spiritual therapies, such as psychospiritual counseling, hypnotherapy, cognitive therapy, emotional release therapies, family therapy, psychodrama, expressive therapies, music therapy, and more.

Holistic refers to treating the whole person - body, mind, emotions, spirit, environment, and social systems.  Alternative typically refers to therapies that are not part of existing convention or mainstream approaches to treatment.  Conventional treatment appproaches are biased toward pharmacological approaches and cognitive-behavioral therapies, even though there is much evidence that these approaches are not the best long term approach for addressing mental health challenges.  Therapies that explore spiritual and transpersonal aspects of the psyche are generally shunned within medical treatment models, as these are difficult to empirically measure in controlled studies and are therapies that can't be mechanized or applied uniformly to each patient.  Additionally, the validity of some of these alternative approaches challenges dogmas and assumptions that are promulgated by psychiatrists and physicians who follow the standard medical treatment paradigms.  If psychospiritual approaches, energy healing methods, or homeopathic remedies resolve patient conditions then the claims that a genetically-based biochemical imbalance is causing the problem and requires medications to treat that imbalance are claims which must be called into question.

The holistic approach sees all the levels of a person as interrelated, with disturbances on one level affecting other levels of functioning.  To foster balance it helps to address as many levels of our being as possible.  Thus, diet and nutrition can be explored to help directly foster balance at the physical level, while hypnosis and energy healing methods can be used to transform the subconscious and shift energy patterns that influence metabolism and biochemical processes.  Psychospiritual counseling can be offered to help a person build self-esteem and shift unhealthy beliefs while finding faith and meaning in life.  Social support can be accessed and family systems addressed to help build a social environment that supports health and well-being rather than contributing to stress or dysfunction.

A typical medical approach might only offer a quick diagnosis and then ongoing medication treatment, with little or no effort to treat the various factors that might be contributing to stress and imbalances.  To resolve mental health issues we need to address the factors that foster these difficulties.  Merely labeling and suppressing symptoms is a costly approach for both our personal finances and our personal well-being.  Ideally, people would be fully recovering from health challenges and putting doctors and health care practitioners out of business!  Our current health care system does not design itself to put itself out of business, however - in fact, our health care system seems to continually grow and pharmaceutical businesses continue to expand.  Thus, we will need to look at holistic approaches and more in depth alternatives to truly restore our health and well-being.

Now, in addition to clinical reports, there are controlled studies of Reiki that have been completed as well as studies done with sizeable clinical samples that are more likely to impress scientists than individual case reports.

The Reiki Med Research site mentioned above also lists information on studies where Reiki was shown to reduce pain, lower blood pressure, increase hemoglobin levels, decrease depression and anxiety, and lower stress levels.  So far Reiki research is limited yet the results are generally positive for a variety of health concerns.  Reiki is safe and non-invasive - it doesn't even require any physical contact with the recipient as it is an energy field/biofield therapy.  We are exposed to many different types of energy fields, such as sound, color, UV light, IR radiation, x-rays, microwaves, radio frequencies, ultrasonic frequencies, and more.  It is known that our body and energy system respond to these energies.  Reiki is a very natural source of radiant energy that restores harmony to our energy field, helping us recover from the many physical, energetic, emotional, and mental stresses of modern life.  It would seem unwise to discount or ignore the benefits of getting our energy tuned up with Reiki treatments.  Dozens of hospitals now offer Reiki treatments to complement other forms of care and a variety of health care practitioners are discovering the benefits of Reiki and sharing it with their patients and clients.  I've trained many health care practitioners to use Reiki for themselves and others and I receive numerous reports of the amazing benefits of receiving Reiki, including for those who had skepticism or no pre-existing belief in Reiki or energy healing.

I invite readers to find a local practitioner (I am available myself for those in the Miami/S. Florida area) and experience for themselves what Reiki is like and how it can enhance your health and well-being.  In many place there are occasional free or donation-based healing circles and demonstrations so you don't even have to pay to get a taste of Reiki!  Compare that to what it may cost for many other therapies and you'll see why receiving Reiki sessions is one of the best self-care health care decisions you can make.

What a tangled web we weave when first we practice to... believe.  With an understanding that everything in life is a result of vibratory energy patterns guided by consciousness, we can recognize how powerful beliefs are.  Beliefs are strongly held, highly energed thought patterns that shape reality.  Beliefs create self-fulfilling prophecies.  They generate the scientifically documented placebo effect and it's flipside nocebo effect.  Beliefs lead terrorists to carry out destructive acts for what they believe to be a higher purpose.  Beliefs also lead governments to keep truths secret from the public, such as with the idea of national security being threatened by the public having truthful information.  Beliefs lead people to commit their lives to public service at personal expense OR to lead lives of personal profit at the public's expense.  With recognition of the power and primacy of beliefs and how they shape our lives, we have to work with our beliefs if we wish to transform our lives.  Whether we want to improve our relationships, find a fulfilling vocation, or recover our health, our beliefs will play a role in this process.

The first step is considering the possibility that things we currently believe may be false.  Great progress in science has come when individuals were willing to question existing beliefs and dogmas.  If we are too attached to our current beliefs we can't grow and transform.

Then, we can begin to examine our beliefs, both our conscious beliefs and unconscious beliefs.  We can consciously explore how we developed our beliefs and if it is rational or reasonable to maintain the same beliefs.  Do your beliefs come from personal experience, from your family, your friends, your culture, your religion, or authority figures in your society?  Every one of us has only a narrow range of personal experience compared to the range of experience held by humanity as a whole.  Our personal experience is valuable but sometimes we need to hear other people's experience in order to be able to perceive or understand our own experience in a larger context.

With externally based beliefs we need to consider that we don't need to maintain allegiance to them... if we are exposed to a wider range of views and ideas our perspective is likely to transform if our older beliefs had flaws that are exposed by the new insights and information.  Most people haven't given much thought to how they can be certain that their beliefs are actually true - religious beliefs are a good example of this.  People believe something that can't be verified merely because it's in a book and/or other people in their family or social circle believe it and find the belief makes them feel good in some way.  This isn't saying that religious beliefs are bad or good - just that we can be more conscious of whether we wish to accept them and whether or not we find that they seem true for ourselves.  Consider what happens when you accept a belief that makes you feel bad, such as that you are inherently bad or sinful or God will punish you either in this life or in an afterlife?  Research has shown that those negative beliefs contribute to negative outcomes for people facing health challenges.

Many of our beliefs were imprinted in our consciousness early in childhood, when our subconscious minds are very open and vulnerable.  Beliefs of unworthiness, of being unwanted, rejected, or abandoned often arise during the childhood years.  These are sometimes a result of a child greatly misunderstanding or misinterpreting the actions of others.  Yet, even if a child accurately interprets others mistreating him or her, the resulting beliefs are likely to be dysfunctional and contribute to future psychological and relationship difficulties.  Any belief you have that has you seeing yourself as a victim is one which limits your power and allows others to control your emotions and self-worth.

Once you become aware of limiting and disempowering beliefs you have the opportunity to release them and replace them with positive, empowering, self-affirming, and self-appreciating beliefs.  Be aware of how negative beliefs and related emotions block your energy flow and generate tension in your body.  Let that tension release so that you can access your full power and creative potential.  Beliefs give us a sense of structure and solid identity, so we will naturally have beliefs that we use to govern our lives.  Here, it is suggested that you learn to be more flexible and less attached to your current belief structures... if you wish to experience life on a higher level of functioning you will need to create beliefs that provide a foundation to raise you up to that higher level.  Often, those around us discourage us from adopting more enlightened beliefs and viewpoints.  There's a sense of safety and comfort when a group of people share the same belief, so people around you may feel threatened by you breaking the norm.  Thus, in order to move forward on your personal path of reclaiming your power you may need a lot of courage.  Once you do make your personal shift you are likely to begin to "attract" or align with people in your life who will support and share your new perspective.  Like energy attracts like energy, so people with similar beliefs and consciousness tend to be drawn to one another.

This week a judge in Minnesota ruled that teenage child Daniel Hauser had been "medically neglected" by his parents, Colleen and Anthony Hauser.  The parents reportedly belong to a religious group that holds a belief in using only natural healing practices used by some Native American Indians.  Judge Rodenberg permitted Daniel to remain in his parents care, stating that they had acted in good faith. They were given an order to get an updated chest X-ray and select an oncologist to administer medical care.  If the tumor has not grown and Daniel's prognosis is the same as doctors testified in a hearing last week, then chemotherapy and possible radiation appear to be in Daniel's best interest, in the view of the judge.

"The State has successfully shown by clear and convincing evidence that continued chemotherapy is medically necessary," the judge stated in his written judgment, adding he would not order chemotherapy if doctors find the cancer has advanced to a point where it is "too late".  If chemotherapy is ordered and the family refuses, Daniel will be placed in temporary custody. The boy said he would resist chemotherapy treatment, according to court testimony.  He reported a belief that the chemotherapy will kill him, and said: "I'd fight it. I'd punch them and I'd kick them."

This is an unfortunate case in many ways.  The medical establishment has deemed the parents guilty of neglect for not agreeing to their opinion of proper treatment for the child's lymphoma.  The parents believe in some form of natural therapy and have instilled in their child a very negative expectation about the chemotherapy, which could contribute to an especially negative response if the child is forced to receive that treatment.  The effect of any therapy is partly based on psychological factors and beliefs (placebo effect), so a negative belief about a treatment can foster a negative response beyond any inherent hazards of that treatment.  Ideally the doctors would have respected the parents' choice, especially since the child himself agrees with his parents.  One key issue here is the general ignorance of the medical profession about the history of effective natural cancer treatments and the empirically demonstrated relative lack of long term benefit from applying chemotherapy as compared to natural approaches or even no treatment at all.

The child's parents have apparently researched cancer treatment online and researched information that contradicts the medical establishment's beliefs about cancer treatment.  Even when one looks at the evidence and concludes that the alternative approaches are likely to be better, it is easy to doubt that decision when all the so-called experts and society around you disapprove of this path.  Anyone facing choices after a cancer diagnosis can benefit from researching the issue on their own and not merely accepting narrow dogmas that most doctors adhere to.  Treatments such as Rife frequency therapies, raw food diets, vitamin c megadoses, ozone & oxygen therapies, MMS (Miracle Mineral Supplement), herbal therapies, zeolites, acupuncture and energy therapies, spiritual healing, and other interventions have been successful in healing cancer for many people, so the judge's assertion that chemotherapy or ANY particular therapy is medically necessary is logically inaccurate.  No person can know which treatment is the best or is necessary for a particular patient since everyone is unique.  Standard medical writings about the chemotherapy proposed for Daniel acknowledge that up to about 5% of patients will die directly from the chemotherapy itself.  How does the judge know that this child isn't one who would have a very rapid negative response to the treatment?  Has the judge seen reports and research on the many natural cancer treatments that are available?  With the practice of medicine in our society highly corrupted by pharmaceutical interests we have to research issues on our own to get a more balanced perspective on health care options - most doctors won't tell you about many of the viable options that are available since the information that reaches them either ignores those options or discounts those options in a misleading manner.

I encourage readers of this blog to speak up for health freedom and freedom of choice and personal responsibility in regard to health care.

Our physical bodies function according to energetic and information-based processes guided by subconscious levels of our being.  Our minds literally create health or illness since some layer of our consciousness is operating the body and creating whatever state we are in.  There are a variety of healing systems that examine how this mind-body system works and how we can heal physical conditions by addressing the psychological and energetic disturbances that have led to illness.  In this article I will be discussing some of these systems to help readers gain an understanding of why these forms of healing are vital to truly resolving health concerns.

Famed author Louise Hay (You Can Heal Your Life, Heal Your Body) collects a long list of health issues and the underlying psychological issue associated with them in her best-selling books.  She's also a living example of how this can be used to heal even the most serious, advanced illnesses such as cancer.  Louise healed her breast cancer by shifting her thoughts and attitude, clearing old emotions, and using diet and lifestyle changes to help facilitate a cleanse of her physical body.  In Louise Hay's writings and many other sources it is noted how cancer is generally associated with unresolved anger.  A famous bioenergetic healer I've met named Zeev Kolman has described how he sees cancer as being about 80% due to emotional/energetic factors.  In Louise Hay's books you'll learn how arthritis is associated with rigid, critical psychological attitudes and Heart disease can be due to grief and emotional pain.  You can look through her books for an extensive list of these correlations.

Many energetic healers identify how organs are connected with specific emotions (e.g. liver is related to anger) and how subtle energy centers called chakras are where psychological issues get processed.  There are seven major chakras which relate to key apsects of human psychological development.

The 1st chakra is the root/base chakra, which relates to our vital energy and our sense of safety, security, and stability.  The 2nd chakra relates to creativity and sexuality.  The 3rd chakra is our personal power and how we assert ourselves in the world.  The 4th chakra is where we process emotions, especially emotions like love, gratitude, sadness, and grief.  The 5th chakra is the communication center and the 6th chakra is our center for vision and insight - how we see things.  The 7th chakra, called the crown, is our connection to our spiritual source, our relationship with a higher power by whatever name we call it.  The energy centers spin and distribute energy in a vortex-like fashion.  They interface non-physical energy with our physical body, which has to have this inflow of energy to remain alive and functioning.

When we experience emotional distress and fail to release that emotional energy it gets trapped energetically and will imprint into our physical body.  There are cases such as those described in Paul Pearsall's The Heart Code where organ transplant recipients take on memories and habits from the donor since those organs held the person's mental/emotional imprints in their energy fields.  The focal points of these energetic disturbances tend to be in the chakra regions.  Then, depending upon the specific nature of the psychological issue that is present, an illness may be generated in a corresponding organ or body system that has a symbolic connection with the psychological issue.  This is a form of psychosomatic illness causation that happens subconsciously.

Dr. Hamer, the founder of German New Medicine, which now has a few offshoots, (www.germannewmedicine.ca and www.newmedicine.ca as well as www.metamedicine.info and www.biodecoding.com), discovered how psychological stresses and conflicts become expressed as specific illness patterns in the body, beginning with his research on cancer.  Hamer's theory is well developed and describes natural principles that govern how the body-mind system generates these conditions.  In this system, using mind-body and emotional healing techniques is as much a part of treatment as physiological interventions.  Unless the psychological pattern and related emotional energy pattern is transformed the issue is not resolved - even if the symptoms are effectively suppressed the pattern is still present at a subconscious/energetic level and would be passed on to descendants whose DNA is tuning into the disturbed field of consciousness and ancestral cellular memory.  For details about DNA and how consciousness and subtle energies influence genetic expression you can visit http://www.phinsights.com/healingdna.html

In methods such as EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) and NMT (Neuromodulation Technique) therapists help heal a variety of health issues by clearing distressing emotional patterns that have been imprinted and are influencing body regulation.  Allergies are one of the issues that have responded very well to these clearing approaches.  These clearings typically involve creating active awareness of the emotional issue and then tapping on acupressure points, the spine, or chakra regions to induce a shift or release of the pattern at the physical level.  In the Deep Emotional Release Bodywork technique that I recently learned from shamanic healer and experienced shiatsu practitoner James Hyman, emotional release points are correlated with the chakras.

So, I encourage readers to learn more about these concepts in holistic healing and consider using integrative mind-body and energetic therapies to help heal health issues at their source rather than spending many years and many paychecks merely treating symptoms and never resolving health challenges.  If other people have experienced full healing with these approaches, YOU can too!

Many people are aware that the patterns in their lives have originated from some time in the past.  Psychotherapists often help clients explore their childhood to recognize how childhood experiences and reactions shape their current tendencies and habits.  Yet, the roots of our patterns often exist beyond our present lifetime - either with our ancestors and the patterns they created or with our own soul's memories of experiences from other physical lifetimes and identities.  The famed physicist Albert instein once stated that time and space are merely persistent illusions.  Indeed, anyone who looks deeply at the nature of reality is likely to conclude that there is so much territory in the realm of consciousness that humanity has only a limited awareness of.  Hypnosis and meditation allow our minds to shift focus and connect with these deeper levels of awareness.  In that state we can access memories, creativity, imagination, inspiration, extra-sensory perception, and more.

During past-life regression sessions the therapist guides the participant into a deeply relaxed state where guided imagery is offered to help transport the awareness beyond ordinary limits of time and space and connect with whatever imagery will be most helpful for that individual's growth and understanding.  The results are often magical - from the cessation of old fears and phobias to the resolving of physical ailments and injuries.  People may make major shifts in their lives after these sessions, as old patterns and blocks are released and the person is now able to connect with new energies and opportunities.

My experience and research as a regression therapist and metaphysical explorer has shown me that our progression of lives is not necessarily linear... the Soul/Higher Self is beyond time and space and can process all the information and experiences from our lives simultaneously.  It's somewhat like a virtual reality role play game where you can choose various characters from preset options and you build skills and experience as you play, being able to play the game as much as you want from as many different character roles and perspectives as you wish to.  Our Souls are doing something similar to this.  In the regression sessions, clients often have the awareness of going into the spiritual realm after physical death.  Upon entering that realm they connect with guidance and support to help them with whatever healing or learning they are ready to experience.  Books by authors like Brian Weiss and Michael Newton relate some excellent stories about these processes, and my own case notes could fill a book as well.

These sessions are consciousness expanding and highly transformative for most participants.  I encourage readers to consider having this experience and discovering more about themselves.  I've offered these sessions both individually and in groups, and have continued to be awed by how our Souls grow and our life paths unfold in such remarkable patterns and synchronicities.
