- Jim Cosenza is a psychotherapist with extensive training in a range of mental health issues. He is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Certified Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor.
- Jim has experience working in community mental health settings, medical offices, and substance dependence treatment centers. He has a history of working for social justice, demonstrated by many years volunteering in food pantry and home delivered meal programs, a domestic violence hotline, environmental causes, and numerous other community organizations.
- The relationship between social justice, personal action, and the strength of individuals guided his decision to pursue a Masters in Social Work from Jane Addams College of Social Work, at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Of special interest to Jim as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker is the intersection of the individual and the social context, the Person-in-Environment relationship. Jim's work with his clients is guided by what is important to the individual, their values, and what provides a sense of purpose in their lives.
