$0I am a resourceful â??outside-the-boxâ? thinker.  When my children were preschoolers I figured out how to be home with them, still contribute financially to the household and go to college as well (All very important to me at the time.) I ran my own in home licensed day care business.  While not an answer for everyone; it worked for me!$0$0$0$0$0When I reentered the work force outside the home, I still didnâ??t quite have my associateâ??s degree, but I was almost there.  What I did have was the experience and confidence I had gained by running my own business and the desire to put that to work in my career.   And I did just that, embarking on a successful 20 year run in the tough world of advertising sales.  It gave me the flexibility I needed to be there for my kids and I was good at it so the financial reward and personal satisfaction were both high!$0$0$0$0$0The kids graduated and  in a bit the recession hit.  It was transition time again!  My life didnâ??tâ? fitâ? anymoreâ?¦ a lot of things in it werenâ??t workingâ?¦ I had a lot of sorting out to do.$0$0$0$0$0I felt like Humpty Dumpty.  I had fallen off the wall!  So I would call in all the kingsâ?? horses and all the kingsâ?? menâ?¦ which in my case translated into a life coach, a therapist and a Reiki Master.   I learned that life doesnâ??t always follow a straight path and sometimes the things you knew would last forever just donâ??t. It was time for me to reinvent myself as I started a new career as a Reiki Master and a Life Coach.  My original involvement with Reiki came about as a result of my daughterâ??s ordeal with fibromyalgia.  I practiced on her until her symptoms went into remission.   I also ended up going through a divorce after 30 years of marriage.  While it was a time of endings, it was also a time of new beginnings!$0$0$0$0$0I now look at this time of my life as an incredible gift!  I have learned to accept myself for who I am and to be my own best friend!   I have learned to value myself and invest in myselfâ?¦ Iâ??m the only â??meâ? I have! I am worth it after all! (So are YOU!)$0$0$0$0$0Now as a social work student, intern and life coach, I am doing the work I feel I was put on earth to do!  That doesnâ??t mean itâ??s always easy though!  I have come to learn that self-care is so very important for those of us in the helping professions.  I have learned that meditation and energy work are vital to my well-being!  I have learned to continue to utilize my own coach, therapist and Reiki Master to maintain my life balance and excel!$0$0$0$0$0My clients tell me they feel the same way about the Reiki and coaching sessions they have with me as well.$0
