The Acugraph Digital Meridian Imaging is a computerized tool used to analyze and document the energetic status of the acupuncture meridians.
In order to perform an Acugraph assessment, we take pain-free measurements on specific acupuncture points. A computer connected to the equipment provides us with instant information about the relative strength or deficiency of each meridian. This can be especially useful if your treatment progress has been slow or not what we had hoped for and expected.
Meridian imaging technology eliminates the subjective appraisals involved in Oriental diagnosis. Usually an acupuncturist looks at your tongue or may take your pulse to determine which acupuncture points need to be chosen for a specific treatment effect. However, with the Acugraph we can determine any imbalance more accurately and display the results on a computer screen. Although the Acugraph is a new technology, it preserves and respects the underlying assumptions of Chinese medicine that we need to treat the whole person and the underlying condition instead of eliminating just the presenting symptoms.
In December and January we will offer Acugraph assessments without additional charge as an adjunct to any regular treatment on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
