Neck pain and stiffness? Try this - have a seat, place your index fingers on the front of the ear lobes and thumbs on the back, move the finger up to the raised bump then over to the valley and up to the hard ridge just above that valley hold there with  index finger on the front thumb on the back. So arms don't get tired rest elbows on the knees. Hold 10-minutes check neck. Do this 3 or 4 times a day for relief.

This is not a substitute for medical care but certainly worth a try.

When asked if they have ever had Reflexology, people who have experienced it light up. They remember how wonderful it was to feel the skilled hands of a Reflexologist. Not only do they report feeling like they were walking on a cloud after their Reflexology sessions, but also feel better all over, with a delicious, enhanced sense of wellbeing.

Reflexology is the study, science and art of using specific touch on reduced maps), very closely resembling the shape of the human body, found on the outer ears, hands and feet. According to Reflexology theory, an effect of the many stresses of the build up in various parts of our bodies, blockages also build up in the parts of the ears, hands, and feet that correspond to those stressed areas. These blockages show the bioelectric flow from one nerve to another. In turn, cells do not receive all the nerve energy they need to function their best. Reduced neural supply to cells often leads to health imbalances (illness, discomfort, pain).

By applying gentle touch techniques with names like thumbwalk, metacarpal roll and double inchworm, blockage that reduced bioelectric flow from one nerve to another is broken down. As blockage is eliminated, fuller nerve energy supply can get to the cells of the body, allowing them to function at full capacity again. A properly functioning cell is a healthy cell. As cells are healthier, people feel better.

Some of the reported benefits of Reflexology include profound relaxation, pain reduction and elimination, improved circulation, enhanced oxygen nutrient supply, and detoxification. In turn, organs, glands, and structures of the body normalize and function more optimally. It is common for people to seek out Reflexology not only to feel better, but also to prevent imbalance and maintain good health. Since a person remains fully clothed during Reflexology sessions – only shoes and socks are taken off – Reflexology also provides a safe way to bring a nurturing touch into your life.

Paul Nagier M.D., a neurophysiologist, first discovered the map of the body on the outer ear in France in 1957. William Fitzgerald, M.D. in the early 1900’s, had discovered the maps of the body on the hands and feet in the United States. Until the early 1980’s, the public heard almost exclusively of foot Reflexology, and only occasionally of hand and ear Reflexology. An entire series of discoveries emerged during the decade of the ‘0’s, forming a new body of knowledge that is revolutionizing the field of Reflexology.

The first dramatic breakthrough came with it was realized the reflexing all three Reflexology maps (ears, hands and feet) was noticeably more effective than working on just one of these three systems. A second major discovery followed, that each of the three Reflexology systems is better for certain types of health imbalances. The ears are especially valuable for quick relief of muscular tension and discomfort often found in neck, shoulder, lower back, hip and sciatic areas, and are uniquely effective for relieve of many allergic reactions. Hands help one to get a quicker grasp of headaches, sinus problems and upper abdominal discomfort such as hyperacidity. Feet shine in their usefulness for relief of Premenstrual Syndrome, menstrual cramps, knee discomfort and general abdominal tension and stress.

Yet a third discovery came only after years of practiced application of the first two. Priority patterns emerged, revealing the most effective order in which to reflex ears, hands, and feet to reduce the effects of stress for any particular part of the body.

In order to verify these recent findings, a scientifically conducted Reflexology research study looked at women who suffer from Premenstrual Syndrome. All of the participants kept records of 39 different PMS symptoms every day for six-months. The women were divided randomly into three groups –active, placebo and control. The control group received no Reflexology during the six-month study; they were used for baseline comparison. The active and placebo groups received hands-on Reflexology during the middle two months of the research project. The active group received actual Reflexology that had nothing to do with PMS symptoms. The results were dramatic: 62.6% reduction in PMS symptoms for the active group, only 24.8% reduction of symptoms for the placebo group, which is normal for placebo-related studies, and no appreciable improvement in the control group.

If the increase of the popularity of Reflexology over the past 10-years is any indication, we are in for an exciting journey into the 21stcentury and beyond.

There are lots of theories - the primary being thatreflexology works through the nervous system.

There are a large number of nerve endings in thefeet, hands and ears which are where the 3 reflexology maps of the body arelocated.

When health imbalances occur, such as a stiff neck, blockages of various chemicals accumulate in the neck reflexes of the feet, hands and ears.

The longer there is neck tension, the thicker theblockage becomes. Because nerve impulses flow from the end of one nerve to thebeginning of the next, blockage between nerves will reduce the amount of nerveenergy going through the body. Without enough nerve energy supply in the body, its parts and functions, cannot perform in a healthy manner.

This concept is illustrated by corrosion thataccumulates on the terminal of a car battery. The thicker the corrosion, lesselectrical current flows from the battery to the car. The car runs rough. Forthe car to run smoothly, the corrosion must be cleaned off the batteryterminal, so that the electrical current can flow fully.

So you see, for the neck to feel better, blockagebetween nerve endings in the neck reflexes of the feet, hands and ears must beeliminated, so that the current through the nerves can flow fully to the bodyagain. When full nerve flow is restored, the body can balance itself and isbetter able to heal itself.

Reflexology works for many reasons. Besidesnormalizing nerve supply, beneficial chemicals are released during reflexology.

One most commonly known group of chemicals isendorphins - the body's natural opiates. Endorphins induce a sense of wellbeing and are natural pain reducers.

Stress causes organs and glands to become eitheroveractive of interactive. Reflexology helps to normalize the body's functions, stabilizing under or over active activity.

So some of the reasons people get better by having reflexology sessionsare that the nerve energy supply is improved, there is an increase ofbeneficial chemicals and the body is normalized.

Microcurrent has been featured on Oprah and is talked about on other high-profile shows, and in high-fashion and health trend magazines.

All that have reviewed it or experienced it agree that with the Bio-ultimate microcurrent sessions the signs of aging can be reduced.

The microcurrent face rejuvenation lift gives you the freedom to attain anti-aging goals without the recovery, downtime and expense of surgeries and other aggressive services. The skin is re-hydrated, circulation improved, and a firmer, revitalized appearance is achieved after the first session and continue to improve with successive sessions.

Microcurrent is a low level of electricity that mirror’s the body’s natural electrical currents, triggering chemical reaction at a cellular level, enhancing the production of natural collagen and elastin, providing circulatory benefits and assisting in product penetration.

When used in conjunction with specialized products and manual manipulations, the tiny microcurrent impulses encourage the body’s currents; tightening and strengthening the muscles of the face and neck The result is immediate firming, smoothing, and re-hydrating the skin while greatly reducing the appearance of fine line and wrinkles. Results are immediate and cumulative.

Unlike chemical peels or microdermabrasion that take off layers of skin, microcurrent builds up the skin layers by healing and encouraging cell renewal and regeneration of tissue.

Benefits of microcurrent face rejuvenation:

  • Diminishes fine lines and wrinkles.
  • Tightens and tones skin and facial muscles.
  • Product penetration.
  • Hydrates and revitalizes the skin.
  • Closes open pores and improves skin quality..
  • Thickens thin skin by regenerating tissue.
  • Lifts sagging skin and improves elasticity.
  • Heals acne.
  • Diminishes scaring.
  • Addresses sun damage.
  • Erases dark circles and puffiness.
  • Improves skin texture.
  • Improves circulation.

Microcurrent is a preventative treatment for younger clients and rejuvenating for mature clients. There is no recovery or downtime. The body's ability to maintain skin tone and elasticity is controlled by chemical reactions within and between the cells of the skin. These reactions are triggered by electrical impulses.  As the body ages, these reactions slow down and the skin loses elasticity and suppleness.

As we age, facial muscles either relax causing poor muscle tone or stay contracted (expression lines). Microcurrent can re-educate muscles to respond more effectively to regular nerve stimulation. Microcurrent can help return muscle memory to the muscle, giving better tone and shape to the face, relaxing over contracted muscles and smoothing fine lines.

Another benefit of microcurrent stimulation is the enhancement of tissue repair. Circulation is improved providing better cellular exchange and regeneration, improved skin tone, elasticity, increased moisture hydration and a reduction in fine lines and wrinkles.

Microcurrent is a gentle, relaxing, and effective process. It is painless; no anesthesia is needed, no irritating side effects, no recuperation time and no down time. For the best long-term results a series of treatments is recommended.

Results depend on the condition of the skin, age, current health, skin care goals, and the frequency of initial treatments. To achieve optimal results, it is recommended that you receive 2 treatments per week for the first month to establish muscle tone. Once initial treatments are completed then results can be maintained with monthly treatments. As in any professional skin care treatment, you must do your part with a proper home care regime.

The neck area will not be treated until the fourth initial treatment. The facial muscles must be strengthened first. Since the neck muscles are stronger then facial muscles we don’t want the neck pulling down on the facial muscles.

Recent Studies using frequency specific micro amperage performed at the University of Washington indicated a 10-14% increase in the production of collagen, 48% increase in elastin production, and a 38% increase in blood circulation over the course of 20 days of use of the current.

Science The technology increases the chemical fuel that energizes the cell function, adenosine triphosphate (ATP) up to 500%. It increases cellular detoxification and oxygenation, balances out the skin pH, stimulates fibroblasts secretion of collagen, elastin and other protein synthesis and generally restores biological homestasis or well being.

The Microcurrent Session is relaxing and lasts about 60-minutes. You may even fall asleep during the session. At the end of the session, you will see a difference in the muscle tone and skin texture on the face and neck. Remember that the results of these treatments are immediate and cumulative.

There seems to be a popular thought going around that Reflexology came from Egypt. There is a popular pictograph showing people holding other people's feet. However, there is nothing documented that these people or, for that fact, the Egyptians ever practiced anything like today's Reflexology.

In documented fact, Reflexology was developed separately by two American physicians, Drs. Fitzgerald and Riley, in the early 20th century. A French surgeon, Dr. Rogier, developed ear Reflexology in the mid-20th century.

The practice of Reflexology was developed and standardized by Eunice Ingham, an assistant to Dr. Riley.

There is much clinical evidence to the effectiveness of Reflexology. If you email me with a specific question, I can get the study for you.
