Adolescence is a time of tremendous change and growth. Teens will begin to take risks while experimenting with their behaviors and relationships in order to solidify their identity and assert their independence. Some adolescents and their parents will successfully complete this developmental stage on their own, while others will need some additional resources and support.
I provide a safe place for youth to express themselves without feeling judged. I work with pre-teens and adolescents to learn how to manage difficult emotions, learn coping, stress, and conflict management techniques, set and achieve goals, and enhance self-esteem. Counseling can help strengthen family connections while parents learn effective communication and discipline techniques.
