How to Market Your Acupuncture Practice and Book Yourself Solid - Forever

If you have an acupuncture practice, or you intend to start one in the future, there's something you really should know. The success (read "profits") of your acupuncture practice does not completely depend on your passion for healing or your acupuncture skills. Success may depend much more on your ability to effectively market your services to future clients.

To attract clientele, it's essential to get exposure for your practice. At the very least, potential customers must know that your practice exists. As you brainstorm various ways to advertise an acupuncture practice, you may first think of placing an ad in the newspaper or a magazine that spotlights local merchants.

However, a simple display ad that announces the location and hours of your practice is not likely to be very effective. An acupuncture practice is very relational. So you must make a connection with a potential client as soon as possible.

If you feel you must advertise in the newspaper, then you should have a toll-free number for them to contact or a website address for them to visit. Plus, you must give them a reason to visit or call. Do you have a free report you can provide? Have you thought about writing a monthly newsletter? Or, perhaps you have some other product that you can offer for free or at a discount.

Once you've connected with a potential client, then you can focus your marketing and education efforts on those who are most likely to use your services. Once you've narrowed your focus, you are better able to make the best use of your time and maximize each individual client's experience.

Your acupuncture practice marketing plan should create a client "funnel." The process begins when you collect interested people from the public at large. Once you have identified them and have a way to communicate with them, you can begin to educate them about the benefits of acupuncture and about your ability to provide services in an extraordinary way.

But remember, the process begins with attraction. Try offering something that's of particular interest to prospective clients, something that is nearly impossible for them to resist. As they begin to experience benefits that are connected with your practice, seeking you out for more services will be the natural result.
