MMTS provides individual and group music therapy services to clients of all ages and abilities in their home, school or hospital setting.
Music Therapy is an evidenced-based health profession using music and music experiences to create positive emotional, psychological, physical, cognitive or behavioral outcomes. A music therapist employs a systematic process of intervention, wherein musical events and the subsequent relationships that develop through them are used as a dynamic force for addressing a client’s needs. The music therapist is specifically trained to use music as its own format for assessment, intervention, and measurable evaluation. All MMTS services are provided by a music therapist meeting all educational and training standards for clinical practice in music therapy, certification by the Certification Board for Music Therapists, Inc., and professional membership in the American Music Therapy Association.
