Thank you to US Senator Bernie Sanders for the inclusion of language
of CAM (Complementary and Alternative Medicine) in US Health Care
Reform. However it is time to urge legislators to include Unlicensed
Complimentary and Alternative Professionals in Health Care Reform.
The majority of CAM professions do not require licensure, as they
pose no threat of harm, and therefore will never become "licensed" CAM
professions. National certification ensures a quality of education that
one can depend upon when referring or seeking professional consultation.
I am such a CAM professional. I am a certified classical homeopath that
has been certified in North America and I am registered with the North
American Society of Homeopaths. And while I am able to practice in the
State of California thanks to the Health Care Freedom Act (2003 SB577),
I am not free to practice in all states. It is time for National Health
Care Freedom, please include Unlicensed Complimentary and Alternative
Professionals in Health Care Reform.
