What is Tuina?
Tuina, which
means pushing and pulling, is an ancient form of Chinese massage. It uses the
basic principles of Chinese medicine with massage and gentle manipulation
techniques to relieve your symptoms. While enjoyable, Tuina has the advantage
of focusing on specific problems such as chronic neck and back pain, carpel tunnel
syndrome, arthritis and so forth. In addition, different protocols of Tuina
assist internal disorders such as gastrointestinal problems, emotional
disorders and insomnia. As with other styles of Asian bodywork, Tuina is
designed to prevent problems - not just correct them.
