Oktoberfests, pumpkin patches, and turning leaves. Autumn is a magical time of year. Yet, it also conjures up millions of suffers with sniffling noses, itchy red-eyes and feeling generally miserable. Before you know it, allergy season is upon us. Perhaps you have noticed your coworkers puffy-eyed and red nosed? Or you have no energy and no inclination to rake the leaves. Perhaps you’ve tried allergy shots or over-the-counter medication, but nothing has long-lasting results or leaves you feeling foggy headed.
Think of acupuncture. It can boost your immune system without any side effects, open nasal passages and quell other symptoms allergy sufferers encounter. I also use Chinese herbs, not only for immediate relief, but as a preventative measure.
If you know that the Fall season brings on allergies, I suggest coming in two to three months prior to start prepping your immune system. And if you are already starting to feel your allergies coming on, acupuncture can also lessen your symptoms. With this ounce of prevention, it can help make this season enjoyable and stave off sinus infections so you can enjoy the season.
