Welcome to Putnam Studio for Alexander Technique, the Art of Breathing Coordination and Voice
At the Putnam Studio one will learn to approach daily challenges whether they be mental, physical or emotional in a comfortable, caring atmosphere. We become aware of what is causing our challenge (stress, pain, anger); we learn to inhibit or stop that reaction; we continue on to choose a new way of meeting that challenge, all under our own "Conscious Control", as taught by F.M. Alexander. F.M. Alexander was known for his work with respiration re-education. The Art of Breathing returns more emphasis to this aspect of the Technique and helps people with emphysema, asthma and athletes, as well as singers and instrumentalists.
