Over 99 Hours Of Hypnotherapy, Hypnosis and Neuro-Linguistic Programming Education Offered Via Streaming Video at www.HypnoSummit.com March 13 -15, 2009
The Global Hypnosis eSummit—the first ever “online virtual hypnosis convention”—will be streamed live at
www.HypnoSummit.com from March 13 – 15, 2009. The registration fee of $129 per person includes nearly 100 hours of lectures and demonstrations of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), hypnosis theory and clinical practice, and business development sessions for hypnotherapists and hypnotists. And like any trade show, the Global Hypnosis eSummit will also feature trade show booths and networking opportunities. Registrations will be accepted online at www.HypnoSummit.com through March 15th, and presentations will be available for viewing for the two weeks following the Global Hypnosis eSummit.
Educational presentations will qualify for continuing education credits for members of the
International Medical and Dental Hypnotherapy Association, the
American Council of Hypnotist Examiners, the
American Board of Hypnotherapy and the
Society of Experiential Trance.
Over 50 experts will present on topics as diverse as hypnosis for sales
and sports performance, pain management techniques, effective hypnosis
treatments for anxiety, phobias and allergies, managing a successful
hypnosis practice, and even tips for safely presenting hypnosis stage
shows. Perhaps the most notable speaker is Bernie Siegel, M.D., the
bestselling author of the book
Love, Medicine and Miracles, who
will discuss the power of words to harm and to heal. His presentation,
“Consciousness: Mind Body Communication,” is scheduled for Saturday,
March 14th at 10:00 a.m. PST.
“Much of the training is aimed at the professional hypnotherapist,” notes eSummit organizer
Scott Sandland.
“But if you’re just curious about hypnosis, and wonder what it’s all
about, you’ll still find a lot of value in the education and trade show
aspects of the Global Hypnosis eSummit.” Sandland, a certified
hypnotherapist, operates
Goal Oriented Hypnotherapy in Newport Beach, California. He is also the founder of
HypnoThoughts.com, a free social networking Web site for hypnotherapists, hypnotists and enthusiasts.
Hypnosis is generally recognized by the medical community as an
effective treatment for addictions, phobias, and pain relief—“even
though there is still some disagreement about how and why hypnosis
works,” says Sandland. Hypnotherapy has also proven useful in
eliminating self-destructive compulsions like smoking and overeating.
“Hypnosis is a very normal state of mind and body. If you’ve ever zoned
out when you were driving—and arrived at your destination without
knowing how you got there—you were essentially experiencing a hypnotic
state. It’s the same thing athletes experience when they’re ‘in the
zone,’" says Sandland. "It’s a very efficient, very effective state of
mind, that allows you to reach your goals faster and more easily. As
hypnotherapists, we help people arrive at that very focused state on
purpose, for a specific reason.”
