South Jersey Sports and Spine Medicine is Dr. Meryl Stein's practice. Dr. Stein is both a medical doctor and a licensed acupuncturist. Although she specializes in musculoskeletal pain, she has considerable experience using acupuncture for anxiety and other psychological disorders and gynecological issues, including infertility. Regarding musculoskeletal issues, she treats the entire range of neuromusculoskeletal injuries, including repetitive-motion type injuries such as carpal tunnel syndrome, acute or sub-acute musculoskeletal injuries such as ankle sprains and shoulder injuries/pain, neck and back pain, and osteoarthritis. She is board certified in both Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Electrodiagnostic Medicine.
Dr. Stein completed medical school at UMDNJ/Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and then completed residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Harvard Medical School. While a resident at Harvard, Dr. Stein also completed the Harvard Medical School Acupuncture for Physicians Course.
