"A fool is a man who never tried an experiment in his life."
~Erasmus Darwin
I wanted to share with you an amazing experiment that is underway for
my family. David has been looking for inspiration and guidance for some
time now and last weekend he was inspired by the thought that perhaps
Rebecca, our 10 year old daughter, could help him find what he has been
searching for or at least give him something else to do besides worrying
that he does not worry enough! (Worry-hold your thumb.)
David writes, "I
have asked Rebecca if, for the next 7 days, she would be willing to
provide me with daily suggestions and tasks that I must perform -
starting today. She is an amazing being - sentient, intuitive, and sharp
beyond her years. I have full confidence that she will create
thoughtful tasks and not take advantage of the situation. She has agreed
to help."
Today was day 7 and they have decided to continue with the Experiment.
The image above is the 1st day's task. Each morning she presents David
with the tasks for the day. I am loving her illustrations and I am
inspired by her insight and her ability to craft tasks that suit David's
needs.
All week David has blogged about the experience. Both he and Rebecca have given me permission to share it with you. Read day ONE of the BLOG here.
Sometimes guidance and inspiration can be found in the most
unlikely places. Perhaps you too will be inspired by Rebecca's simple
yet powerful tasks!
"All life is an experiment. The more experiments you make the better."
~Ralph Waldo Emerson
