After a lifetime of informal study of nutrition, weight-loss, and wellness, Audrey formally studied Holistic Nutrition at the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition, graduating at the top of her class with "Distinguished Merit", and earning certification as an RHN (Registered Holistic Nutritionist). Audrey is a member of the CSNN Alumni Association. Her passion for learning, and dedication to providing expertise for her clients, leads to her to continually upgrade her skills and education in the wellness industry.
Audrey earned a BA in Psychology, and graduated Magna Cum Laude from York University in 1996. Her focus included study of the principles of behavioural and cognitive psychology. Audrey has also earned the designation of CCP - Certified Coach Practitioner from the Certified Coaches Federation.
In addition to her formal training, Audrey is able to bring an insightful, intuitive, and understanding point of view to her coaching sessions with her clients. Being a "recovered binge eater and obesity survivor" and having lost over 70 pounds (so far!) Audrey knows first hand how hard it can be to make radical changes in one's diet and lifestyle, and is acutely aware of how multi-faceted a process it is. She has an arsenal of successful strategies that she has developed and experienced first hand, and continually researches new findings and practices in the field of weight loss and behaviour change. The passion Audrey feels for helping others experience the life-changing process of taking control of one's health and weight is evident in the way she communicates with her clients and workshop participants.
Audrey has trained and been mentored with the Professional Organizers in Canada to enhance her natural skills in organizing. With a background in Corporate Project Management, she is able to bring a unique ability to provide a step-by-step and practical approach to diet and lifestyle changes.
Through her education, experience with clients, and her own personal journey, Audrey has developed an approach with clients that, while empathic and intuitive, is also no-nonsense. Her belief is that she will do you no service if she "sugar-coats" what she has to tell you... afterall, sugar is empty calories and a sugar-coated message is just an empty promise. When working with Audrey, you can expect to get an understanding partner, and a practical, goal-inspired coach.
