Meditation became popular in the US in the 1960s when many of the musicians, artists, and actors started following gurus from India. I started my formal meditation training in the mid 70's and have been guiding people in meditation for nearly four decades. Despite all this time, when I give workshops, I ask if anyone 'thinks' they can't meditate, and I still get some hands.
The reason given is always the same, 'I can't get the thoughts out of my mind'. Good news! You can still meditate and release stress and touch your soul with thoughts in your mind! Everyone (yes even you) can meditate, and more surprising, I can show you that you are already meditating!
