It has been my experience that traditional medical professionals are not allowed sufficient time with their patients to ask the right questions to get to the root of the health issue. Also, traditional medical professionals focus on treating symptoms rather than addressing the underlying cause of the condition. At Healing Paths, you will be in a comfortable and non intimidating environment and I will take time to talk in depth to you about your personal health history and life history. As we dialogue we will begin to understand and identify the source of why these health conditions might have emerged. The questions asked will go well beyond obvious symptoms or conditions and will identify health issues that might not have otherwise seemed related to one another. When necessary, I will also recommend that saliva, hair, serum or stool tests be performed to identify conditions. We also work in an integrative fashion with medical doctors and other health care practitioners. The approach to setting a course for healing is a holistic one.
Once we set a course for healing, clients are provided with the tools they need to make educated decisions about their health and wellness. I will help guide them to understand the basics of nutrition, so they may be able to make informed choices about what they choose to consume. I will also help them to better understand and listen to their bodies. Many conditions can be addressed and healed in the early stages with herbs and supplements. This approach supports organ systems that may be in a state of stress but have not yet reached the level where they can be identified through blood tests. Once we get to the stage where the blood work reveals deficiencies or problems, we may have missed an opportunity to work with our bodies in a natural gentle way, especially in the area of hormone imbalance, and insulin insensitivity. Our bodies give us early warning signs before blood levels reveal the same.
We will also teach you mind body techniques that help balance body functions and improve your state of health. Hundreds of studies have been conducted regarding the mind body connection. We have the ability to synchronize our heart and brain waves when we entertain thoughts of love and compassion; conversely, when we are frustrated, resentful or hateful we set off an inflammatory response that can lower immunity for the next several hours. We recognize this connection as part of the healing process and will provide you with individualized guidance, strategies and tools to make your personal connection.
