About the Practitioner
Silvia Reid, Ph.D., Qi (Chi, Ki) Consultant
For more than 21 years, Silvia has been a Qi consultant and Qi healer to world-renowned scientists, Hollywood stars, NBA players, Olympic athletes, low-income individuals, and many others from all walks of life. She has even helped dogs and cats. Now Silvia and her husband, who is also a Qi healer, have made San Diego their home as well as their home base to continue their Qi healing mission...that mission being to help people balance their Qi so their bodies can take care of themselves.
Silvia’s Qi healing path began in 1984, when she was taught Qigong to overcome an unusual allergy. After three years of practicing Qigong, she was introduced to the world of healing, where she was shown how to direct her Qi into healing others, which further led to her discovery that she is able to sense people's Qi, their Qi flow and their Qi blockages. Together with her husband, Craig Reid, they have been using Qi healing to successfully help people battle cancer (colon, brain, lung), emphysema, ALS, paralysis, asthma, spinal cord injuries, migraines, pain management, arthritis, scoliosis, cystic fibrosis, broken bones, many kinds of sports and physical injuries, and much more.
Helping people has always been Silvia’s drive in life. She thought that good scientific research was the gateway to finding relief for human suffering from illness. Under this premise, Silvia pursued a career in research and became an established and a productive research neuroscientist, receiving her PhD degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, with subsequent research experience working at Washington University in Saint Louis, Yale University Medical School and UCLA. She conducted research on a full time basis as a research scientist at UCLA and later as a senior scientist at a pharmaceutical company. She would also always help people with Qi healing during her off-work hours. Throughout her research career, whenever she made a new discovery, it could never match the satisfaction that came from her hands-on experience of helping people live healthier lives. In response to this calling, Silvia now devotes her life to healing others as a full time Chi (Qi) consultant/healer in hopes of bringing health, happiness and harmony to the world.
The ability to read Qi and her extensive scientific training give Silvia a unique and effective approach toward finding Qi blockages and restoring proper Qi flow. She specializes in stubborn, difficult and mysterious health issues. Her approach to installing good health is to find and tackle the causes that lead to the Qi imbalance in the first place.
Frustrated that she is unable to help everyone all the time, and can not be everywhere at the same time, Silvia continuously researches and develops new tools that can effectively balance Qi, help people's Qi flow and subsequently their health. Her latest research has led to the creation of Chi (Qi) jewelry, which has already been effective in helping the health of people nationwide and also, thus far, in Europe, Asia and Australia. Other pipeline products include Chi cream and cosmetics. These healing aides are an important and intricate part of Qi healing that Silvia provides. For further information on these health aides and other Qi related facts and news, investigate www.vivaLaChi.com. Silvia also shares her ability to read Qi and her knowledge about how to balance Qi in life through her workshops and personal consultation.

Craig Reid, Ph.D., Qi (Chi, Ki) Expert
When Craig was 16, his doctor told him he would be dead in five years from the deadly effects of cystic fibrosis. Up to that time he was taking 30 pills/day and had two hours of painful therapy a day. In order to save his life Craig began practicing martial arts and in 1979, he moved to Taiwan in search of a cure for his fatal illness. By working as a stuntman in the Chinese kung fu film industry, Craig found a Qigong (chi gong) teacher. Five months after learning Qigong (August 1980) and to this day, Craig has been off all medication and therapies since. When it comes to battling a deadly terminal disease, Craig is living proof of the real physiological effects of Qi.
Besides holding a BS degree from Cornell University, Craig received his PhD in entomology from the University of Illinois where he was an award winning teaching assistant for 12 semesters teaching 8 different courses, which included teaching Pre-medical Biology, Biology of Man, Microbiology and Medical Entomology. He was an adjunct professor of Biology and Human Biology at the University of Missouri in St. Louis, a Microbiology lab instructor for the Jewish School of Nursing in St. Louis, and worked as a researcher on Lyme disease with St. Louis University in conjunction with the CDC.
To Craig, the ultimate goal of a martial artist is to train not to fight and to learn to heal rather than hurt. Through martial arts and Qigong Craig learned to heal himself and now it was time to learn to help others. In 1987, Craig and his wife Silvia were taught how to channel their Qi and to use it as a healing tool Due to practicing Qigong for almost 30 years, Craig's Qi is considered strong and so during Qi healing he is able to transfer his Qi into those undergoing the treatment to flush out their negative Qi, to quickly open up Qi blockages and to strengthen those individuals who have weak Qi, where the cumulative affect is to promote proper Qi flow, which in turn increase one's health.
Since beginning Qi healing, Craig and Silvia have used their abilities to successfully treat cancer (colon, brain, lung), emphysema, ALS, paralysis, asthma, severed spinal cords, migraines, pain management, arthritis, scoliosis, cystic fibrosis, broken bones, various sports injuries and more. Everyone they have treated thus far has made significant progress and recovery.
As an inspirational speaker, writer and healer, Craig shares his story, knowledge and experiences as a means to give hope, inspire and help others to live a happier and healthier life. It is not enough to live longer lives as it is to live longer with good health and well being.
