This is how acupuncture is traditionally practiced in Asia, in a group setting with very little talking. There are many benefits to community acupuncture, one being that most people are able to relax deeper in the community setting because of the collective energy, another being that in this way the price of acupuncture can be made more affordable. Acupuncture is in some ways like exercising, as the results are cummulative. A typical course of treatment is around 10 sessions. Depending on if a you are coming in for a chronic or acute condition or just prevention will dictate your treatment length. Our fees are on a sliding scale which means that it is up to you to choose what you can afford to pay within the range of $15-50 per treatment. We do not need proof of your financial status, the sliding scale is meant to empower you to choose the value of your treatments in relation to the rest of your life. On your first visit your appointment will take slightly longer so that you can fill out paperwork and speak with your acupuncturist about your health goals, because of this we request an extra $10 paperwork fee on top of your session fee.
