It is named after now famous apothacaries who were unable to go into towns to sell their craft during the black plague. They put together a collection of herbs they knew to be safe in keeping them strong and safe against the disease. They would wear these herbs and smell them into a hankerchief while stealing gold and money from the dead bodies. The king finally caught up with these thieves and offered their lives in exchange for the magic recipe. 

Thieves= clove, lemon, cinnamon, eucalyptus radiata and rosemary. 

Thieves is 99.9% antibacterial and because it is made from plants bacteria can not mutate against it like chemical antibacterials. 

Uses: 

Smell it straight from the bottle: a perfect way to fly so as not to get sick on the flight to vacation.

Put a few drops in a spray bottle of water and mist into the air as an air freshener on on countertops, door knobs etc.

Put a few drops into your humidifier. 

One drop in a glass of water can ease and prevent a sore throat.
