Omega Blackburn NCTMB  graduated  from the Richmond Academy of Massage in Virginia as a Certified Massage Therapist in 1995, she is a Nationally Certified Therapeutic Massage and Body worker (NCTMB). She was the second Registered Practitioner of Ortho-Bionomy® residing in the Commonwealth of Virginia at the time of her confirmation. 

She has trained extensively with Terri Lee of www.phase-eight.com since 1998 to be a somatic re-educator. She is a professional member of the Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals (ABMP); a Certified Massage Therapist by the nursing board of the Commonwealth of Virginia; a LMBT#6331 with the state of North Carolina with a license to practice in Alabama. She has a BFA from Virginia Commonwealth University and is a former member of the American Massage Therapist Association (AMTA) , the Society of Ortho-Bionomy, International and former MT Instructor with Virginia Career Institute.

Omega has several years of experience in administering Hot Stone Therapy, Orthobionomist/ Somatic Re-education, Deep-Tissue, as well as Therapeutic and Swedish massage and energetic techniques on-site and in chiropractic, clinical and salon settings. This experience has been supplemented with continued education in the field of bodywork and massage therapy and EMS pre-hospital care as well as the Border Mountain Hospice Volunteer Training Program through Hospice of Stokes County and Stokes Reynolds Memorial Hospital where she is a volunteer.

In 2000 she acquired an 8 chakra set of crystal singing bowls for attunements and has continued to work with vibrational healing techniques including trance drumming. She “bowls” monthly at her Hanging Rock State Park Home Studio.

Omega coordinates Ortho-Bionomy classes and workshops at  Frazier’s Cove Lodgeing & Retreat near Winston-Salem, NC. as well as her home adjacent to Hanging Rock State Park and formerly the Oasis Cafe in Norfolk, VA. Dayle Carter at heartsongs@cox.net is the current class coordinator for the Oasis Cafe.
